Foreign Tongues...whatddya think? 4 cracking tracks and hoping the others are growers. At that age, it's extraordinary. Slightly over-produced imho.
Strangest of all, they got some hook up at Lords on Sunday for the India ODI. RS tongues everywhere and batsmen walking out to tracks from the album. I know Mick loves his cricket, but it was surreal...god knows what old Binky in the pavillion thought of it.

Love them to death, they were and still are Unique they've been going at It since 1963.
I was 13 Years old when I first heard ''Come On'' then ''Not Fade Away'' and then the everlasting brilliant "It's All Over Now" I was In approved school In 1964 and one of the lads had a forbidden Transistor radio and you could sometimes get Radio Luxembourg on It In the evenings and that's when I first heard ''It's All Over Now'' honestly It was brilliant. The BBC radio programmes were shyte but there was a much needed shift In the music world, I was sick of hearing Alma Cogan on the radio warbling away like a metronome.
I've only managed to see them live twice and I was immersed into them on both occasions.
Without doubt the Stones and the Beatles were both pioneers and true legends, I'll get Foreign Tongues.................. |  |

Really thought the praise for Hackney Diamonds was over the top.
This, however, is a fine album and probably the best since Tattoo You.
Hackney sounded like a Jagger solo album but this sounds like a Stones album and even Steve Jordan's performance blends in well. |  | | |

To be still making music is an achievement in itself .
Heard some of the tracks and they’re all pretty good .
Most great bands make a couple of amazing albums .

One of the many things I love about both the Beatles and the Stones is that they were both generous in acknowledging the main sources of their music and gave credit where credit was due.
Without realising it they were many people’s introduction to black music in all its forms. Bobby Womack co-wrote It’s All Over Now, for example. Discovering his work has been one of the great joys of my life.
Keith Richards’ autobiography Life, apart from being very entertaining, is brilliant if you want to figure out where their music came from. Not sure I’d ever have discovered Jimmy Reed, Big Bill Broonzy, Leadbelly, Hank Williams etc on my own.
