Southampton decided to come clean in the hope we'd get a more lenient punishment. It worked and we were let off 2 points further deduction, however by pleading guilty it meant we were subject to a punishment. There is no way of going back to court to challenge the ruling and sentencing. Our mitigating circumstances were "we only spied 3 times boss!"
I think those who think challenging the EFL and re-opening this case ought to just let sleeping dogs lie. It's not going to end well if we poke the EFL with the "we were hard done by" stick. Yes we were hard done by, but they run the league. |

The EFL broke it's own rules by altering the timetable to fit heir own schedule. They should have postponed the final and played it somewhere else if Wembley was booked up. I don't buy the "players going on holiday" malarky. If it's important they will be there toi play.
Their first mistake was letting the fixture with Boro go ahead, but they decided to let it play out. That result becasue it was played with the EFL's blessing should have stood and Middlesborough shouldn't be part of the conversation. The only issue would be if the panel decide to disqualify us that means Hull go up without having to play, we shouldn't be restrospectivly DQ'd.
The EFL and the independent panel handled this badly. Saints management cheated and there have to be consequences. I think they probably had to DQ us, but I think do to the money involved that winning to playoffs brings adding the Leagur punishment of 4 points was a little OTT, especially if new management come in and were not involved in spygate at all. This whole thing stinks to high heaven. |

Need to offload Ramsdale first. Peretz is better, but we can't have two No.1's. If we go up Ramsdale might fancy his chances to slot in as our 1st choice keeper.
Larin is a great option to have. He can do so many things well and bring other players into the game. Has scored quite a few now and settles brilliantly. I think we should sign him at 5 Million or less. Might be too much dosh any more than that. |

With 10/18 top flight sides left in the competition, I think the odds were always that we were going to get a Prem side. Fulham are not on great form though, so we could cause an upset. Hell it all depends on which consistent Saints side turns up. The Consistantly good Saints, or the Consitantly bad Saints. |

Flynn Downes needs to get himself right. He's not the same player as he was 2 seasons ago in this league. I'd rest him, get him fit and them play him in the 2nd team with maybe some sub appearances once he's back up to that level. No point in playing players out of form and struggling for fitness.
Personally I agree that we could drop one of CDM's and put 2 up front. 1 Striker to hold the ball and the other to run off them. 4-1-3-2 all the way for me. We have lacked potency this season and that formation will allow for a more dynamic attack.
