Happy birthday Clive you legend. You share a birthday with 2 of my best mates, both called Richard and also Kevin Gallen. We won 3-1 away at Ashton Gate on your birthday in 2002. Birthday boy Gallen scored the 3rd goal and you can see me & both Richards celebrating down the front in this clip.
We had some good kits during the Binatone era. The influence kits with "Holland Fly KLM" on were pretty cool. More recently I liked the kits with Ashville Aggregates on.
It’s been said before but the thing that concerns me is the number of players who come back from a spell out injured and then get injured again. This has happened to Chair several times now, also happened to Poku last season. And I’m sure there are other examples of this that I’ve forgotten about.
To me this suggests the players are not being rehabbed properly.
If anyone in here is going to Wednesday’s forum, any chance of asking a question specifically about these recurring injuries?
Gutted because I thought you mean the Kung Fu Fighting bloke. That's an all-time classic. Just looked him up, he's called Carl Douglas & he may not be as fast as lightning anymore but he's still going strong at 84 years old!
For what it's worth here's my starting XI if everyone was fully fit. Obviously this is not the team we'll be putting out against Charlton or West Brom!!

Not getting my knickers in a twist but yes maybe I'm more irritated by this ridiculously overpriced transfer than all the others because I remember how poor he was for us & I just couldn't believe it that someone is paying even the 12 million for him!! How many of those 30 games last season or 50 games overall did he actually start? I live in the north west & know quite a few Toffees. They can't believe it either!
I must've been watching a different Tim Iroegbunam to many of you when he was at QPR. I don't care if he's well-liked by the rest of the players. I expect the same is true of the bloke who drives the coach.
He certainly did down tools when he was with us. He had about as much effect on most games as other lacklustre midfielders we've had. He was basically a younger Karl Henry but people gave him a free pass because they believed the hype.
This lad didn't exactly pull up any trees on loan in a very poor QPR team a few seasons ago. Since then he's been at Villa and Everton, started less than 50 games, scored zero goals & 4 assists. How da fuq does that make him worth 22 million?!?!?!?!? Someone should show Hull a video of that match when we let in 6 up at soon-to-be-relegated Blackpool. Iroegbunam's attitude that night was a disgrace. Unbelievable lack of effort. That's what Hull will be getting from him in 12 months time when they're back in the Championship.
I have a good mate who's a Dundee United fan. He says he's been quietly impressed with Bennie so far and he has definitely not looked out of his depth in some very physical matches.
Decent squad player. First class attitude. Runs his bollöcks off every time he's on the pitch. Good player to bring on as a sub to stretch the opponents. Defenders don't like players like him, especially late in a game. There's a thread on here asking if we need to bring in another striker. Maybe we do, but they cost a lot of money & we have Lloyd already here who we already know has the right attitude, some different attributes to our other strikers & some potential that may or may not be fulfilled. So he's worth a gamble in my opinion. I'm sure he won't be on a big wage & if he does goes on a scoring run we can sell him at a very decent profit.
One of my best mates lives in Bigbury-on-Sea so I know the Pilchard Inn very well. Just don't miss the last sea-tractor back to the mainland!!
Talking of the southwest, I was in the Hatchet Inn in Bristol the night before we won there last season. Reckoned to be the oldest pub in the city and supposed to be haunted if you believe in that kind of thing. Blackbeard apparently used to drink in there, and the locals claim that the big heavy door is partly made out of the skin of a hanged convict!!
another vote here for getting the ferry from Portsmouth to France and going to a Eurocamp. We've done quite a few holidays like that, in the Normandy area. Generally quite a few Brits there, but it's mostly Dutch families. Decent enough weather but you don't get the scorchio temperatures that are causing more southerly European destinations to be borderline intolerable or literally on fire during the summer.
went to see the new Spiderman with the kids, we all liked it and thought it was the best new Marvel film in quite a while. (but perhaps that's quite a low bar?)
