Great news about the training ground.
I have said for a long time that being a Cat 1 academy would be massive for this club in terms of wanting to bring through our own and make this club an attractive proposition for those wanting to stay and develop.
I think the fact we are in a crowded part of the country with the likes of Palace, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal around, means being a Cat 1 is more important now. |

I spoke to him after the Bristol City game and asked him how's the injury and he said it was very sore.
I recon hes been rested for next season, I dont think its anything to do with him leaving, hes happy here and it would take a incredible bid for us to even consider selling him. |

I think Field, Varane, Celar and Santos will be the ones we let go.
Field - £2m/£3m
Varane - £3m
Celar- £1m
Santos - £500k
I think thats probably realistically what we will get for these players. |

We stick, no questions asked.
I think if we didnt have so many injuries this season, then we could of finished a lot higher.
I think the first season of JS does remind me a lot of Warburton where we had a mix of results, so you can probably compare it to then.
The last thing we should do is sack JS right now. We have to learn to stick with managers and not change them for the sake of it. |

Weve got to move beyond sentimental value.
Loftus Road has been an incredible home, but the reality is that we lose money by being there.
The fact its costing £1m alone to redo the PA system demonstrates why its expensive to stay at Loftus Road.
As much as it will be very emotional for a lot of us, we have to keep with the times and sadly our options for expansion at LR are close to impossible. |

Look we can sit here and debate putting stands over roads etc, but the reality is that Loftus Road is only going to get more expensive to run and we cant accept that anymore.
Loftus Road has been an incredible home for us for well over a century, but the reality is that we lose money due to the fact we cant open it for more than 23 games a season so we do need to move, as much as it will be hard for all of us on here to accept.
A move to the Cargiant site would be a generational opportunity for us to develop a ground that we can all be proud of. We can take the elements of what makes LR great and make it a part of a new, modern ground. You also have the potential to create fanzones as well, something we dont have at Loftus Road.
Also the transport links around there will improve too, it is expected that Old Old Common Station will open to GWR and Elizabeth Line trains from 2028/2029 and you also have Willesden Junction next door as well which is a 20 min walk and there is suggestions of a new Overground station too on Hythe Road. So it could have the potential to be the most connected stadium in the country.
Developing a new 25k-30k stadium with the ability to host non footballing events like concerts, conferences and other events for the community could be transformational for our finances.
The reality is that we as a football club need to keep with the times, we cant afford to be complacent to sentimental value, we have to move on.
Do we accept the status quo or do we build for the future? |

Its an absolute no brainer that we should be all over this for a new stadium.
I know the owners have wanted this site previously so it could be a real opportunity for us, this potentially could be our last chance to get it.
Id imagine we could get a decent bit of money by selling Loftus Road and putting it towards buying the land.
The transport links in the area are improving as well, weve got HS2 building a new station in the area and youve also got Willesden Junction next door as well so from a transport Point of view its well connected.
As much as we love Loftus Road, the reality is that we as a club need to move with the times and moving here would allow us to do that. You have potential to really build something that could take us to the levels I know we are capable of. |

There is definitely a sense of cautious optimism from me.
Its actually been interesting how teams in the last 12/18 months have been winning games with less of the ball and being more pragmatic. Its definitely a sign of football beginning to trend away from the Guardiola esq tiki taka style and were no different from that.
I think for the first time in a few years we actually have a seriously competitive squad and actually some serious depth as well which is massive especially considering the demands of playing every 3 days in this league.
Also it seems like this season is a very open one, especially with Sheff Utd having a very slow start and Leicester expecting a hefty points deduction. The only ones who I see going up at the moment are Ipswich.
This does feel like such an open division this year.
Of course its early days and we've still got 37 games left to play, but there are some genuine signs that this could be a really exicting season. |

Coventry lost to a Portuguese side today who finished in 15th.
Results mean nothing in pre season. The whole point is to try different systems and personel as well as building fitness.
What is it with some of our fans saying were going to have a terrible season based on one result in pre season?
In a way im glad its happened this early on in pre season cause it gives Julien time to work with the squad.

They arnt because of their commercial income.
I think they have the highest income outside of teams receiving parachute payments, hence why they are able to spend so much. |

If less than half the games kick off at 3pm, then you can broadcast all matches without restrictions.
I suspect thats why L1/L2 are kicking off a week earlier. |

I was there last night, however I didn't see what happened as I was in the Loft Lower.

Wouldn't surprise me if we arnt at least interviewing him.
I think he'd be a good appointment personally. He seems to have a lot of knowledge about English Football so would be a sensible choice if we want someone who's young but has that experience of 3 game weeks. |
