Not rumors, thats for the other thread, just idle speculation on who is likley to go this summer for actual money, not released, not end of contract. We have to sell someone this summer afterall.
There has been year long speculation about Varane, and i think he'll go too.
I also have a sneaky feeli g someone will.offer serious cash for Madson and we wont be able to resist.
I laso reckon one of Vale or Chair will be sold.
So overall our midfield will be very different i reckon.
I wouldnt be surprised if someone bought one of our stikers, Burelll, Kone or Kolli. The later is most likely for me.
Wouldnt be surprised if Dunne gets sold too.
So.ithink we will have 3 or 4 big sales this summer. Plus minor sales for Alfie Lloyd and Cooper. |  |

All well and good in theory, but who is actually going to pay decent money for any of these guys?
Vale, don't think so. Varane, not if anyone has been watching. Chair - with his last two seasons of injuries only ourselves would buy him. Madsen doesn't strike me as the sort of player clubs will want to splash serious cash on. Player of the year amongst this lot hardly makes you Ronaldo, but I may be wrong.
Dunne would definitely get interest and that's the one player we really shouldn't sell.
Burrell and Kone fit the profile much more. If we had to sell one, I would rather sell Burrell than Kone as I think there is much more long-term potential in Kone, much as I like Ruman. |  | | |

I hope I’m wrong on this, but my fear is the only player we’ll receive a real bid with cash up front is for Sam Field. Expect Eustace to take him to Derby for, maybe £2m.
Given other players recent injuries, or relative inexperience in the league, I’m not sure we will receive suitable offers for any of them.
Varane - injured recently, been poor all season - will Nourry’s ego allow him to accept a bid for £2-3m when we have supposedly turned down £5m before the season started??
Madsen - only one (very!) good season in this league, out for a few months with a hamstring, we paid £3-4m for him, so will we receive an offer that makes us money? I think buyers would want to see another year of high performance and injury free football before buying for big money.
Burrell - only one (very) good season at this level. Had a serious hamstring tear, when pace is his key asset. Not sure anyone takes a big gamble yet.
Kone - only one solid season at this level. We spent £4m on him. Has he done enough yet to justify someone spending more? I think we need to add a yard of pace to his game for that to happen, as much as I really rate him.
Kolli - 4 goals all season. In and out the squad. Possible concerns from suitors about his attitude. Is anyone paying serious money for him (yet)? I think he has what is needed to succeed at this level, but I don’t see a big money sale this summer.
Dembele - injured, ACL. We spent £1.7m on him. Hard to see us recouping that in Jan or next summer unless he has a great second half to next season.
Saito - poor season. Cost us anywhere between £2.5m - £5m depending on who you speak to. Stats have been poor throughout his career. Concerns about his physicality. Hard to see anyone offering proper money for him.
Chair - barely played the last two seasons, and we couldn’t/didn’t sell him before that when he was at his peak. I can’t see us receiving a decent money bid for him.
Edwards - only just signed for £4.5m. Can’t see anyone valuing him higher yet.
Poku - 3 hamstring injuries. We spent £800k (he had one season left) but his market value after 4 hamstring injuries, across both legs, in two seasons is probably nothing.
Smyth - could see interest in him at the £1-2m mark. His stats have been decent this year. International. Works hard and is organised. But I don’t think it would win our interest to sell him at the level. Will cost us more to replace both in fee and salary. Good squad player.
Dunne - perhaps. Proven at this level. International. Can play two positions. Age and lack of pace may put some off, but, agree could see a parachute payment side or promotion chasing side try to buy him for £3-4m.
JCS - no chance with his injury record
Mbengue - no chance with his discipline record
None of our keepers will go for anything serious. Maybe Cooper could be sold for £500k somewhere. But is that worth it?? He could be our starter next season.
Morgan - didn’t have a good enough season to attract interest yet, like Kolli. But like Kolli, I think he could become a big sale if he can step it up, given his age.
Vale - far too inconsistent and history of injuries is still recent.
Have I missed anyone?
I can’t see Madsen, Burrell and Kone being worth serious money in the summer of 2027 after next season if they all have strong seasons next year. Madsen will only have one year left come that summer though. He’s 2 years into a rumoured 4 year deal now. More pressingly, can the in’s finances wait until summer 2027 to sell players for big money? I think it’s possible we sell Field and Dunne this summer because they might actually command interest and a fee. I would not want to see us sell them, but I’m worried who else other clubs will actually want to buy for decent money! |  | | |

Sadly Sam Field seems the most likely to be sold.
I would expect to see the following leave permenantly: Cook, Hayden, Varane, RND, Nardi, Hamer, Lloyd, Field.
And on loan: Bennie, Adamson, Esquerdinha, Smith, Pearman, Alemeyahu.
If we can get £2m in transfer fees that will help, and it's a lot of wages off the books.
Sadly we might lose Kolli too, considering the relationship with management and that fact someone may offer seven figures. It would be a good deal for the club because he didn't cost anything to buy, and he doesn't really need replacing either - Bennie and Obikwu could back up Kone and Burrell. That would add to our budget.
But we'll need to bring 4 players in (RB, LB, 2*CM) and maybe an experienced goalkeeper too. |  | | |
