Sports Republic are real f@cking communists. Think how Tonda is controlled from those above and managers before him, the Itchen North getting closed, free pies only for those who go with
the official travel (in other words, you.must travel with the club or you won't get a thing).

Check your definitions Communists ?

They they are the polar opposite and Capitalists making the most out of all of us, eg £120 replica 76 shirts

RIP Chivers
at 17:40 7 Jan 2026

Saw him a few times in from 65/66 season until he left for Spurs, then for England and against us for Spurs and Norwich

Shame his time at Saints is almost forgotten in the tributes I’ve seen so far

RIP Martin, without him I doubt we would have got promoted to top league for first time in 65/66.

I blame on Stephens

Omg he didn’t play, so who can we blame ?

Frustrating thing we were well in game for 50 mins, but failed to take any of the decent 4 or 5 chances we had, and after they scoted just threw in the towel.

Poor young Tom Fellows couldn’t score in a brothel, yet to see him have a decent shot on target all season.

5 at the back
at 08:32 3 Jan 2026

Although we retained 5 at the back, manager did change the set up for Milwall game, with THB playing in the centre, and in the first half Wood on right hand side and Stephens on Left

After half time Wood was on left and Stephens on right

I don’t think it made much difference, but it shows they are trying different things, although does seem set on 5 at back

Can We Get Nack To Winning Ways Against Millwall
at 07:55 1 Jan 2026

Big game today

Let’s hope we can perform again like our good spell in November

Should be great atmosphere, with Millwall there in force and less than 300 tickets available in Saints sections

Is to me or does it seem
at 07:43 27 Dec 2025

No chance

We are currently in the right position, mid table

We do not possess good enough attackers to get higher, and give away too many poor goals.

We also have been sussed out by opposing teams who know we are not up to breaking down teams who sit back, when we are playing away from home

Two stand out for me

At White Hart Lane 1980, Spurs in first half went 2-0 up, but we came back with goals by Graham Baker and Steve Moran to make it 2-2 at half time.

We then went 4-2 down before late goals by Moran and Charlie George gave us a 4-4 draw

The other home to Arsenal in 2015

An amazing goal by Cuco Martina gave us the lead, with further goals by Shane Long 2 and Jose Fonte giving us a 4-0 win, among the best performances by Saints under Keoman.

Being a Saints supporter
at 11:57 24 Dec 2025

Plenty from Weymouth and Dorchester too

Loads of Saints fans in Salisbury and surrounding villages

Loads from Shaftesbury and Gillingham (Dorset) and beyond travel up in Exeter trains to Salisbury and down for home games

My love of Saints is all down to my Dad, who was born in Southampton.

First he took me to my first game in 64/65 season, then a few more games 65/66 including my first away game at Bristol City

After that I would get to the occasional home game until he managed to get me a share of a season ticket in West Stand Centre with a workmate in late 60’s early 70’s

I then continued to go to home games on the terraces in chocolate boxes, before migrating to Milton proper in mid 70’s

But after leaving school in 1975 I was finally able to afford to go regularly to both home and away games, something apart from a few years when kids were young I’ve continued to do ever since, on several occasions not missing a game all season and only missing to Carrick Rangers and Norkopping europeon games in that period.

Thanks Dad

Saints v Coventry
at 07:01 21 Dec 2025

It was quite clearly 3 at the back, second half, especially when Fellows came on, Manning was often further forward than Leo when we were attacking on the left.

As for Lampard at the end, what a w*nker, not surprising given his families links with Arry
