I was pretty disappointed with it. Loved the book. It was good in parts but overall I think they could have done much better. |

Surely if it was a fix you might make it less obvious than 6-0? I'd understand if goal difference was a factor but it wasn't. More a case of a team that had nothing riding on the game not trying that hard after going a couple of goals down (not that unusual at this time of year) than a fix I'd say. |

The start of that Palace game is probably the most tense atmosphere I've ever experienced at LR. You could feel it in the air and also see it in the players. It was win or be relegated, there was no next week to try and recover the situation.
I was in P or R block and the release of emotion when Kulscar scored was quite something. I think once we went 3-0 up and it became obvious that Palace were checking their boarding passes and buying duty free, everyone relaxed and it was party mode for the rest of the game.
I also took satisfaction that Palace had packed out the away end despite it being a nothing game for them. That was really annoying me at first but then I was glad they were all there to see their team get spanked. [Post edited 1 May 0:24]

They've had Joe Hart for the last few seasons who has been largely excellent but is now retiring. It would be strange for them to replace him with a keeper who appears just as ready for retirement as Hart now is. |

Very accurate about other clubs feeling plastic. This applies to the majority of the premiership and certainly the bigger clubs. From the pathetic copying of youtube ultras, flares etc to the various versions of that allez, allez, allez nonsense. They can keep it. [Post edited 30 Apr 0:19]

Joe Hart has been largely excellent at Celtic and is retiring at the end of this season. I reckon Begovic is already at the stage Hart is now. |

Was certain we were down under GA and I think that was perfectly fair. A Rotherham style season was in store.
Once Marti came in you could see the improvement but wasn't sure it would be enough given how far adrift we were. Always thought if we could get within a couple of points of safety we'd be a chance.
Winning at Leicester raised my belief and the standard of performance became more consistent even when we didn't win. Aside from the recent Hull game, we haven't had a proper beating in ages.
Sheffield Wednesday also improving kept the doubts though, as I'd assumed we'd leave them behind with Rotherham if we picked up a few points.
For the last couple of months I've believed we could do it but everyone else seemed to be picking up points just when we didn't want them to. After going 6 points clear a few weeks ago I thought we were good, but we quickly got sucked back in and the doubts returned.
Preston was the key game. We absolutely had to win that or we'd have been in trouble. Had we lost I very much doubt we'd have had the confidence to produce that Leeds performance. Going to Cov needing a win was not the scenario I wanted to see (difficult game plus memories of 96) and thankfully we've avoided that. |

Belongs to Ajax. Marley's son even sang it at their ground. Chelsea getting on the bandwagon recently is cringe central.
That said, it was highly appropriate given we'd just confirmed safety and I loved the clips of us singing it. |

I don't see Huddersfield surviving even if they win today. Funny feeling that it could be Plymouth.
Best part though is being able to enjoy watching it unfold without any anxiety, a luxury I was not expecting to have. |
