With the World Cup qualifying coming to an end it’ll be interesting to see what nations make it from a QPR point of view and the financial impact. In the last WC clubs were paid 10,950 USD per player per day while their countries are still taking part. Currently, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Japan and South Africa have qualified which means Chair, Kone, Koki and potentially Tylon? could make their squads. If NI, Smyth, Scotland Morrison? and Republic of Ireland, Jimmy Dunne get through they could all be potential earners for the club. Australia have also qualified but it’d be a long stretch for any of our players to make their squad. I know there’s lots of if, but’s and maybe’s but worth keeping an eye on https://inside.fifa.com/advancing-football/fifa-club-benefit-programme |

Catch 22, the only book I’ve ever had to stop reading on a train because I couldn’t stop laughing. The soldier in white |
 | Forum Thread | Why Wednesday? at 11:36 25 Oct 2025
Any idea why we seem to be playing all our midweek games on a Wednesday? It was almost always Tuesday but this month they were both Wednesday and the same next month. Stephan doesn’t seem too keen because it seems that the team we play on the following Saturday has an extra day to prepare and he always mentions it in his pre match interview. Personally, Wednesdays are a pain in the arse for me as well, maybe why I’ve noticed it. |

Remember that 61/62 season as a kid. We seemed to score 4/5 goals every home game, Bedford on fire, but still didn’t go up! [Post edited 23 Oct 11:27]

Rumours that if Jack Wilshire gets the Luton job, he’s the current favourite, he’ll be joining as assistant manager. Wonder if that means he’ll start working Saturdays? |

My Nan and Granddad were moved from their home on the westway, opposite the White City stadium so that the flyover could be built. There was a great long standing community where they lived but they got shipped out to Barnes and they lost all that. |

Not Championship,I know, but our good friends from Kenilworth Rd have sacked Bloomfield after just 10 months in charge. Despite our rivalry they definitely had a good run with managerial and player recruitment moving forward every season but it’s now all gone to sh1t, what a shame. |

I must admit I was a bit worried about this signing when I was reading the comments about him from the fans of his previous club but I think he’s doing well. Up against a tricky winger Saturday and had the best of it. He looks like a player who’s going to be a 7/10 most weeks and will probably go under the radar. He reminds me of Bidwell in that he quietly goes about his job unnoticed but as soon as he’s not around you realise how much he’s missed. |
