Personally I prefer to go with the pessimism and still consider us to be doomed, until we are not. Its worked for me this year. Leeds is one of those games that can go a number of ways. Chair will be wanting to impress as they have fancied him for some time, Marti has to get his tactics bang on, dangerous for us to go too open. If they score early we have to ensure we dont harm our GD. Forget the other games its in our hands and will be to the last game that's all we can ask for. 2 draws or 1 win required |

I can't believe how bad Blackburn have been, yes you have to give credit to Wednesday but they were gifted 2 goals , Blackburn have barely created a chance |

I would say that's very harsh, yes lots did not come off, but actually lots did and he was involved in most of our good attacking play. He's corners yesterday were as good as anything we've seen all season. A 6 at worst |

We have a number of players defensively that read the game so well, both CB's and Field in particularly which means they dont need to be lightening as they are already 2 paces ahead in their positioning. If only it was the same with the attackers |

It was for kicking the ball away, and it was very harsh |

Paal had a torrid opening 20 minutes with Miller tearing him apart and then for some reason Preston switched Miller to the other side, he then grew into the game. 2nd Half that was one of the best team performances of the season, frustrating that we did not get the second goal but the defence was immense and especially Jake Clarke Salter. I would be amazed if he does not get a Premiership move in the summer. Also a quick word for Anderson, had a few misplaced passes but the 3 10's worked for the first time this season and interplayed really well, but Andersons set pieces were fantastic, great to see him whipping those corners in as the floater to Dunne has become predictable |

Maybe I'm seeing things but it seemed to me their is friction between Anderson and Chair/Willock Chair / Willock noticeably not passing to him and the three of them are not interchanging as the should be.Chair and Willock at their worst today for overplaying and taking extra touches rather than laying, crossing or even taking the shot. Chair has had the hump since taken off set piece duties. Willock wants to play centrally (I think all 3 do). Anderson has been the best player on the pitch when he has been good, maybe he needs to be on the bench for the next one and Willock central. |

Willock great in the midfield 3rd toilet in the final 3rd. Clearly a confidence thing we are back to too many touches, our passing is tentative. Hull were pinging stuff around we underhit bobbly passes behind each other. This is in their heads, they need to work on some attacking plays, earlier crossing and following up shots But this is all mental now |

I think you have to give real credit to Hull they were better than us, but I think we made a mistake in trying to high press them and would have been better of being compact and trying to hit on the break. Still Smyth takes that chance at 2-1 and we are still in it, such a deeply frustrating player. I dont think the 3 10's is working, but what frustrates me more than anything is the lack of anyone busting a gut to score, the amount of times in the last few games the ball has flashed across the 6 yard box with no one at the far post come back of the keeper etc. I think we are deep in trouble we've lost form and confidence at exactly the wrong time, even the two most recent wins we did not play well |

For the goal the goal he did hook it across. Not the earlier one where he miss headed it from 30 inches. To be fair he had a better 2nd half and put in a shift (1st half seemed to be saving himself for the euros) There was a moment which perfectly encapsulated his season where he took down a long ball brilliantly mid way in their half then ran 30 yards in the opposite direction giving the ball away in our own half. His problem, and it's not going to change is his anticipation and reading of the game is amatuer at best, never seems to make a run, pull a defender away, lose his man etc Would have been disappointed if Frey had not had a brace last night if playing |

Average is being kind, he played one decent pass and had a few decent bits of link up play, he missed sitter from a foot out and his movement and anticipation or even the hunger to get on the end of anything in the box was frankly embarrassing for an "international footballer" |

I don't think you can blame adomah for the goal 100% down to Flapovic But my god did we miss some sitters worst of which was Dykes who "headed it back across goal" from an open goal on the line. Glad to see Chair and Willock show some form though looked like Chair is injured |

I thought they were decent and very much up for it. We seemed to think we could play at 70% intensity and control the game. I think we have to be honest though we've not played well at all the last 3 games and over the Easter period we got away with it with some excellent defending. Paal, Chair, Willock, Dykes are particularly well out of form and we need the whole team firing, we can't carry that number of passengers |

Seems a bit over the top. If we are calling out anyone today it should be Chair and Willock who were both utterly woeful. Chair seems to be in a sulk since Anderson came in the team, and Willock looks to be back to saving himself for the transfer window again. |

The current person has been the best version to date, cheeky, a good dancer actually entertaining when he should not be kind of the essance of the club identiy really |

All depends whether he wants a payday or if he wants to play. He's 29 I think so has a good 3 years left in him minimum. If Newcastle want to pay him off (and they aint short of a bob) they can and it's up to him really. We have to be sensible but if he is in our price range its a no brainer for me and can probably play centre back if required too |

I thought Frey was very good the first few games but was clearly running on adrenaline. The lack of fitness and match practice is beginning to show. I hope a good preseason under his belt he will come good. I read he nearly signed for a prem club a couple of years ago but failed the medical so I dont think he is crap, his movement in the box is good and I dont think he is any worse than Dykes. |
