Vaccine Passports - Cardiff Experience
at 09:31 9 Dec 2021

The point is to avoid 'over loading' the hospitals.

I agree with Brian, let's keep this about how football and especially Rrrs are going to manage.

Big pluses last time, he made the match, he finished the match and he wasn't too bad.

Vaccine Passports - Cardiff Experience
at 19:42 8 Dec 2021

Put thoughts of 'non parties', political preferences and curtailing personal freedom and rights as well as two tier society to one side for a minute.

Their are two chief scientists and many others advocating further action to attempt to slow down this virus, protect the NHS and try and prevent more drastic measures further down the road.

I do feel for the club this will be very hard to implement. Perhaps they could find a way that season ticket holders and members could register their vaccination details with the club in advance and then automatically gain access, or not, on the day as they do now by scanning their season pass. Difficult to do in ten days but surely some contingency planning will have occured by now.

Not sure what they think they can sue for but most civil claims would be out of time under the statute of limitations.

Pat Nevin biog: a reality check on modern football schedules
at 00:39 7 Dec 2021

Completely overlooks how fast the game is played and how athletic the players are. Rest is an important part of an athletes schedule. How many races do top track athletes have in a season and how long is their pre season training?

Cloughie's European cup winners rarely trained, the number of matches they played was enough for them to be fit enough for football in that era. BC was an early adopter of rest being important.

Nowadays, the game is far more intense and the players are much fitter. The warm down for the unused subs would be an intense training session for the 1970s players. Lol

He seemed to eventually tell one of the injured to leave the pitch. Lazarus, I think it was as he soon recovered. Plus mark for that one.

I thought Thomas was quite lively when he came on yesterday, he's far from useless and hasn't played many first team games. Fair enough you haven't been impressed but you don't have to be so derogatory about him.

I'm a bit confused by this. Shankly died in 1981.

The Willie young 'last man' cynical trip was in the 1980 cup final when the laws did not include a red card for such an offence.

The law was subsequently changed two years later, after Shankly had passed. So surely, denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity and penalties didn't become a talking point until after this.

It's strange. He's right footed but keeps cutting in when playing rb and getting into trouble. Seems to do that far less when playing lb.

Fortunately, the coaching personnel seem to have a positive approach.

Instead of saying Gray hasn't played well they have taken the approach that he has taken his goals well and what more can we do to help him to improve personally and to build up an understanding with his team mates.

He hasn't played regularly yet has four good goals all away from home.

Thoughts about Stoke on Sunday
at 10:00 2 Dec 2021

Some random thoughts:-

We can't keep relying on scoring 'worldies' to win points!

It's usually 'fine margins' so we have to believe 'we can find a way'.

'Patience is key' and 'The end justifies the means'

Keep doing what we are doing, Try and be a bit more positive in the early stages, 'stay in the game' and gradually wear down the opposition. IF we can do this, more often than not, our quality will tell in the end.

It's possible. Depends on the officials interpretation of 'interfering with play' or seeking to gain an advantage. Phil Parkes scored with a long drop kick one windy day, only for it to be disallowed because one of the forwards was in an offside position.

All of that and then he had the cheek to be annoyed when he was subbed.

He did look a bit slimmer than when he had his second spell with us!

Chaz's assist

I was thinking what's he going to do now then as he ambles down the left wing then that pass/cross and then I thought that Willock was putting it over the bar as he seemed to be leaning back but what a finish!

Bad starts, second half improvement and squad confidence
at 09:15 30 Nov 2021

I we find it hard to get going and play our passing game. Our opponents seem to believe that they have to get in our face and stop us playing, otherwise we will pull them apart.

As the game progresses, we find it getting easier as tiredness sets in, concentration levels drop and we find a bit more space to start moving the ball better.

The Concord club holds many memories for me. Played a lot of games there, (scored a few) managed a team, refereed there and played tennis as well. Also spent time there on corporate events and socialising. Although I had moved as I have aged and hadn't been for many years, it seems strange that my old employer doesn't have a sports club anymore.

However, I am delighted that it is now owned by my club and I retain a link with being a fan and having my bond.

We have lots of midfield options.

Kakay is our only fit defensive cover at the moment and covers all the positions. Possibly a bigger problem.
