Getting to the play offs
at 08:33 26 Feb 2026

History shows us that almost every season, one of the top 6 drop out on terrible form. It also shows us someone makes a late run on form. The latter could well be us. But the former means one of Ipswich, Millwall and Hull and Wrexham will go on a bad run of perhaps something like a point per game for 6 or 7 games. They will need to if we are to catch up, as to catch Ipswich Millwall or Hull we need to get almost a point per game more than them.

It can be done, but we have to make sure we have no more 'bad day at the office' games where we go back to almost Russ Ball play. We must learn that playing fast on the break and moving forward with pace and pressure is the best way. passing it around slowly does bugger all.

Big Night of Fixtures Today
at 08:40 24 Feb 2026

Well, one thing is for sure, we HAVE to win this one. People will doubtless say we can draw and still have a chance and yes to some degree that is true, but you cannot draw two winnable home games in a row and expect to finish 6th. For me, tonight is win or forget it.

So, we have to think ++ and imagine we do get 3 points tonight and then see how the table might look after. This is my (piss poor as ever) prediction for tonight.

Blackburn Rovers 1 Bristol City 2
Hull City 2 Derby County 2
Middlesbrough 2 Leicester City 0
Swansea City 1 Preston North End 0
Watford 1 Ipswich Town 1
West Bromwich Albion 2 Charlton Athletic 1
Wrexham 2 Portsmouth 0
Southampton 2 Queens Park Rangers 0

This would in fact see us go up to 7th. I did not plan it that way, but there we go. This is how important it is to win tonight.

Rupert Lowe is gunning for PM with his Restore Party
at 09:05 20 Feb 2026

I can only agree with many of the posts above. Lowe was no where near as bad (if at all) as some proclaim. He was running a club as a PLC and thus had his hands tied on spending. He got us a stadium. He kept us up against the odds many times. OK, he was lucky perhaps sometimes.

As a politician some of what he says is on the nail. But he is too crass and to hard hitting. Once again it seems his only focus is on British people first (noble and the way it should be) but there are many many other things wrong with the UK and like reform, they seem not to even talk about those things as yet.

Absolutely no way I will ever vote Labour at this time, they are a total mess. We know what we will get from the Tories, so no more of that please. The Lib dems are a bit of both and at times seem to have no idea who they are. Greens are mad under that Zack guy, utterly mental. Cannot vote for Farage, but might be tempted to have voted Reform if they had a better leader and would speak more about the other important aspects that need fixing in the UK.

Funny you should mention that, as I said the same thing to mates here the other day. I was thinking log9ically that there is no way in reality anyone can really be as bad as Starmer, so I was wondering if it was all deliberate to they can be assured of ushering in Farage and his people so we are under a new rule that would see zero tolerance for anything they are against.

No doubt some will see me as nuts but I also believe the uncontrolled immigration is deliberate as they know the end result will be street battles, giving them the perfect excuse to usher in marshal law and curfews, as well as banning mass protests of course. All perfect scenarios for a ruling power that wants a form of totalitarian rule.

Makes you wonder, if everyone knows he is and always has been an odious crook, why did Starmer put him in a government role? Either Starmer does not care and or is one of his ilk, or he is the most stupid PM ever.

Blackburn v Preston tonight

I assume we will all be rooting for Blackburn? Be nice if they won, keeps Pompey down in the mire and Leicester even more in the mire.

Who will be the Relegated 3 this season
at 07:18 18 Feb 2026

Sheff. Wed. are of course gone, and I cannot see Oxford clawing back the points they need, so they will go also. But the third spot is anyone guess.

Leicester showed they are good enough to bang 3 past us in 30 minutes so I think they will end up hitting some kind of form when they play lesser sides. I would live them to go down, but I think a new manager will shore them up a bit at the back and start getting some results.

WBA are poor. Blackburn also, for me it will likely be one of those two. Norwich upward I think will all be OK, so that just leaves the Skates and Charlton. No way the Skates will go down, we are never that lucky. Charlton perhaps? Or will Jones have enough about him to stop the current rot?

I am gonna go for Blackburn as the third side to drop.

Couple big games in the Championship tonight
at 07:11 18 Feb 2026

Well, it is kind of in our hands now to some degree as the next 3 games should be viewed as very winnable. 9 from 9 would surely see us at least 7th or maybe 6th.

Can't say as I hate anyone in the Championship much. Yeah I dislike Pompey but really not so much as they are pretty irrelevant. Not keen on Blackburn and Leicester as they won things LOL. Blackburn started this buying the league crap back when Shearer was there, and that made me dislike them quite a bit. Hated Vardy and thus hated Leicester.

5 Things About The Leicester FA Cup Game
at 10:43 16 Feb 2026

I do worry that the draw is fixed as it seems to me we never, literally never get the easiest draw of any round, yet big clubs get them ever year and mostly avoid each other every year. There has been talk of warm and cold balls (Matron) and such like, which could be true I guess. We all know that the FA would not want a Saints vs. West Ham final or similar.

5 Things About The Leicester FA Cup Game
at 09:07 16 Feb 2026

I have seen it said by many, that we are not going to win the FA cup, and let's be honest, the chances are as much against us doing that than anything much else I can think of.

However, lucky draws, some fluke results in other games and anything can happen. Let's look at who is left:
1. Chelsea
2. Wrexham
3. West Ham
4. Mansfield
5. Manchester City
6. Norwich City
7. Southampton
8. Newcastle United
9. Liverpool
10. Leeds United
11. Wolverhampton Wanderers
12. Sunderland
13. Fulham
14. Arsenal
15. Macclesfield/Brentford
16. Port Vale/Bristol City

Now imagine Macclesfield do the unthinkable again, and Vale beat City. Then imagine we get a very favorable home time and the big boys all play each other. Cups can be odd.

Being that is it 90% certain we will be in this league next season, who do we want to come down and join us? Clearly Wolves are already gone, along with Burnley, but who would we want to join them, with the focus being on the least likely team to compete for the top 2 spots?

For me I can see Forest falling apart if they go down as their owner is a bit of a madman. I can also see him getting a points deduction as financially they sail close to the wind.

West Ham would likely be big spenders. Spurs the same. Leeds might struggle again maybe? Could it be Brighton and what would happen to them if they did drop down at last?

I wonder how long before a club like this does slip through the trap door and gets relegated. Surely one season someone of this ilk will have a terrible run of luck, misfortune and unrest enough to see them drop.

That is very decent of you sir. But it should not come to that. he should be helped by the government as if he were living there and normal. What is the difference between someone living there and losing their job after 26 years paying into the system and someone who want overseas for 6 years? It should not be like this.

But at least it gave me a chance to ruble Farage, GB News and ever dare I say it Rupert Lowe. Not a one of them cares and will help or raise it in parliament. They claim they care about the indigenous population but they are using those empty words to get power.
