The cost is unimaginable when you work it all out. If we assume we would have beaten Hull, then we would have made the PL millions, plus we would not have lost any players! What this has cost us is a lot more than people realise. We are now into the second season down, which means lower parachute payments, lower salaries, lower standard of players. Even though it is only one season, the punishment could mean we stay in this league for many more years now. |

Next two away games, Norwich and West Ham. OK, knowing saints we will do better in both. But on paper that will be 6 games with no away wins and likely an average of less than half a point per game.
Let's assume the happy clapper teenagers are right and we win both. That will give is 8 points from 18. Still poor. |

So far we have 2 points from 3 away games. So 0.66 per game, so 15 points all season. We need at least 90 to go up, maybe a bit more with minus 4, so we need 75+ points from 23 home games. Errr???
So, would it not be a good idea to start winning the much more winnable away games? Instead of drawing again and then having to win at West Ham, Wolves or Boro? This is why games like this are MUST wins. |

So, let me ask you this very simple question.
If today was the last day of the season and we needed a win to assure promotion, would it be must win or not?
Now, imagine at the end of the season we miss out on promotion by 2 points and look back at this game today when we DREW. Think.
I have no idea why some people struggle with such a simple statement. Games like these are 3 points for teams eyeing top 2 spots. Just as Lincoln was and Watford probably was. How many more of these games can we say are NOT must wins before we lose the top lot?

Correct. So winning the easier (so called and looking) games is a must. Because we have to go away to places like Boro, West Ham and Wolves as yet and will of course be very happy with draws at all those places, ergo, today is the sort of game we should and must win. Add to that the fact as stated, that we have already dropped poor away points and my point resides as totally correct. The fact we are 7 games in or 15 games in is irrelevant. |

Dare I say a must win? On the basis we have already dropped some poor points away from home. With that and the -4 points, we really have to win games like this to keep within a gnats of the top 2. |

Call me crazy, but I like Arsenal far more than the other big 6/7. I mean honestly, Citeh? United? Liverpool? Chelsea? Honestly, each of those clubs is far worse as are their fans. |

The game was lost today with amatuer subs. The first doublke change was crazy as the two taken off were starting to get into the game more and more and two coming on were worse. The next double change was simply like for like to give people pitch time. TE treated this game like a training session and was totally unnecessary.
Call me a bed wetter, I do not care. This team with this manager doing these things will not finish top two, not a chance. |

Odd, Is Jack any better at dealing with direct teams than Wood?
Seems an odd one as Jack often gets caught day dreaming and out of position and here we are against a side known to go long and direct. Hope TE knows what he is doing. |

I would have taken a draw before, so will not grumble now, but it is a bit frustrating that yet again we seem to have been slightly off colour. We need to try and find a bit more consistency.
Interesting to note we would be third without the cheating EFL points deduction. Also interesting to see we are second highest scorers already and with the second best GD.
Got to win at Lincoln. No bad days at office excuses please. We must win that. |

If the management team think he is a replacement for Charles we are in trouble. Different type of player. We still need another midfielder to replace Charles and rotate in the squad with Jander, assuming he stays. |
