Agree. But he will still get slated with people focusing on the cross that hit the inside of the post going over his head. A lot of fans just don't like him for reasons that are abundantly clear: ex Chelsea. Now, not saying he is good but getting over-criticized. |

Mr Cifuentes told our official interviewer in his first answer after the game that he sees this as 2 points dropped. Interviewer then asks: 'do you see game as 2 points dropped?' and he confirms that is his view. Also says we did not create enough chances. Level-headed and serious and striking same note as many posters on this thread. |
| Forum Reply | Does anyone know what the uses of a semi colon !!! at 01:35 12 Mar 2024
How about this?: a semi-colon is halfway between a comma (slight pause) and a full stop (a complete end to a sentence). Therefore, a semi-colon is a longer pause (maybe even a 'pregnant pause'!). Those who placed the emphasis in this thread on punctuation being linked to how you would speak, or how you would read the words out loud, seem to me to be on the right tracks. And I use it and see other people use it most frequently for lists. But, what do I know? |
| Forum Reply | Dykes - WHAT and WHY?? at 17:47 3 Mar 2024
Let's not underplay the role he played in the goal either: he made the early run, pointed to Willock where he wanted the ball, and looked up to see Chair, before delivering the perfect ball. He showed in those moments the kind of mobility, intelligence and skill he is always slagged off for not having. What makes him so frustrating and divisive is the fact he can't deliver that kind of play on a consistent basis. Credit also to the manager who is doing centre forward by committee by mixing and matching Frey, Dykes and Armstrong in the last two games. |

Dozzell loan to Brum real sliding doors turning point. Also, there is some Ainsworth legacy in that Cook, Colback and Smyth all playing key parts in survival fight. Even fans least favourite Begovic at the very least no worse than Seny Dieng last season. |

Luckily in the US on ESPN Plus we got Jon Champion and Stewart Robson who were good. And afterwards from the studio Craig Burley and Steve Nicol laid into Chelsea remorselessly. Very enjoyable. Sixth domestic cup final in a row they have lost. |
| Forum Reply | Stan Bowles at 21:44 24 Feb 2024
V sad about Stan Bowles. Made me cry. And filled with memories of the crazy 70s. Appropriate his death was announced on a day the Ellersie Road stand now bearing his name was filled with fans overjoyed by a Rangers comeback win. My first season ticket was a solo one in the Ellerslie near the School End when I was 13 in 74-75 season. Makes me v thankful for the fans who fought the long battle to name the stand and that he saw it and got to grin widely about it before he died. For those who did not see him play, it's all true: a wonderful combination of footballing genius, anarchic, maverick, rogue attitude and sheer joy at playing the game. A true hero. My brother suffers from dementia and early onset dementia at that and is, as we always say and think, 'Rangers through and through'. Dreading talking about this with him but then also kinda of looking forward to it as we share our golden memories of the golden age of QPR. Stan RIP. |

Good report. Thank you. Throw-ins as you have often pointed out are usually utter crap for Rangers. This time, Smyth wins throw, takes it quickly and we actually score. Norwich boss Wagner credited the ball boy for throwing ball back quickly. Makes a bloody change! |

So Cifuentes is not trying to take the pressure off the players but is increasing it. Bringing in Sinton to address the team is part of that tactic and it includes being honest beforehand and calling Millwall game 'massive'. Sinton will have said something along the lines of 'care like the fans care, care like I care'. Thought Cook was honest and impressive in that interview. [Post edited 22 Jan 5:25]

Good post. And part of the reason we looked so bad early on was the eager high press by Millwall. |

Lyndon Dykes playing well. Is he the new Joelinton as a striker turned midfielder?! |

The contrast between Dunne and Dickie is interesting. Dickie has played almost every game for Bristol City. And while he may have played abysmally for us last season, maybe it was us not him. Dunne I think is the real deal: just not a very. talented performer. Also, another thought: our loans did contribute to the festering toxic atmosphere but looks like our own dead wood was just as poisonous last season. Clearout needed, hopefully after surviving relegation in wholly undeserved way. [Post edited 3 Jan 1:31]

Famous last words but only way Rangers win from here, or even draw, is if Cardiff relax and make mistakes. Game is there for Cardiff to win easily but at the moment they're content to sit back. |

Flying in from LA...writing this from airport...last game in person was home horror show against Sunderland last season when Illy thumped penalty against keeper's trailing leg. Thought Hull would be 1-1, so hoping for narrow win..1-0. Will be in Upper Loft alongside LFW poster brother 18 Stone of Hoop. URRRRs. |
| Forum Reply | Illy and Willy bring strictly business back to fashion – Report at 11:22 11 Dec 2023
Marti likes the NBA and in basketball, once the game is in the bag, coaches withdraw their best players so they can get the big ovation they deserve. That's exactly what he did on 85 minutes with Illy and Willy. Also, when game ends, you see on extended highlights Willock shout at Armstrong repeatedly 'Sincs, Sincs!' to get his attention and then applaud him giving him special credit for that second goal. Smells like team spirit! |
