I totally agree .
I’ve been banging on and on, on here for a couple of years about the agenda against Kolli from within .
I know all about the Williams /Kolli training ground situation and believe me it’s ugly from a staff / club/ young players pathway situation . It’s against everything the club tries to claim they stand for frankly .

But, and I know this is rich coming from an idiot like me ,as much as I personally think he has been mature and bold in the way he has conducted himself of late , sometimes it’s best to say nothing and let the perpetrators trip over their own shoelaces .
I just think this will annoy and antagonise those that for some reason have taken a dislike to him .
And they will double down on not giving him game time . Hope I’m wrong .

He’s not the only player of late that I seem to think should be looking for a fresh start away from the nonsense that is QPR at times .

Not read the postings in full, only what’s been posted on this thread but it doesn’t feel like this will do him any favours .
I think he’s been treated poorly, but you have to try and learn to be professional and hope that you get your chance , then take it .

This will only annoy the CEO further I’d think

Expectations for the rest of the season

Yes it would appear that ‘rotation’ was non negotiable as far as the head coach was concerned when we got to the 3 game weeks.
The amount of turn over though seems bonkers to me , but what do I know .

The need to call people on here ‘uneducated’ when you are not getting the replies you so desire, Gazza , renders pretty much anything you say null and void .

As has been said on here more than once , it isn’t really Kolli’s ability that’s the issue here. It’s the way the club seem to have treated a valuable asset , which goes against their whole ethos.
I can’t make you believe what you refuse to acknowledge, but there is an agenda happening towards him from the top of the club .
An agenda , which you seem to match on here , which explains why you all you have to say is “he isn’t good enough”.
Whilst that’s part of the argument , that isn’t the whole picture so perhaps it’s you who is a little uneducated ?

Hamer - how was his debut?
at 13:52 9 Nov 2025

Terrified me how long he took to kick down field with someone closing him down . Seemed to push it right to the limit and will come unstuck sooner or later taking that long .
Did everything else very well though , especially commanding his box .
Annoyingly looks like Arsenal’s Ben White who I can’t help but want to punch to death , though 😆

(Thats not serious for the over sensitive amongst us)

Sounds like you didn’t bump into Clive then ? 😀

Listen, I annoyingly, see both sides of the argument .
In another thread I said that I had peculiar mixed emotions after the game and later on reading some the posts on here .
I get the argument that this is a bottom 3 team and to play for a draw for the last half an hour is frustrating and negative . I was annoyed by the tactics for the second half by the head coach . Sometimes the best form of defence is attack . Not stupidly, but pick your moments with Smyth and Burrell threatening to stretch them . That then stops them throwing as many players forward etc etc. we defended pretty well as a team, but they still hit the post at the death. We encouraged that and got a little lucky .
On the flip side though , their position although deserved until now, is completely false.
Only time will tell of course but I wouldn’t mind betting they don’t finish too far from the play offs . Making them might be a stretch, but despite the turmoil they still have a strong and talented squad.
I do wonder about the Hamer choice . He did well didn’t he? Big and commanding . Thick as mince if he really didn’t know about the 8 second rule. Really??? Not buying it.
But he had a good game , no doubt .
Stephan’s choice? Not sure .
I also think Stephan is now fed up with no real right back attacking presence and is looking to sort that out and trying knew things. It’s been plain to see for a while.
Mbengue probably wont be the answer long term , mainly because he’ll be suspended again by Christmas. That challenge for the yellow card was as stupid a thing I’ve seen for a while and that’s saying something.
But to have someone overlapping with pace is a big advantage. He put in one incredible cross .
Just the one though .
We had square pegs on round holes and that’s why a point for me wasn’t terrible .
But, have a go at them and thst could have been an important win .

Queens Park Razors hopefully taking the edge off. Sheff Utd vs QPR match thread
at 00:51 9 Nov 2025

Great post Ted.

I too , like many have been so beaten down by shite and at best mediocrity over the past , oh I don’t know …30 years , that a draw and a clean sheet often feels like some sort of success.
The mixed feelings about today have been peculiar this evening.

About 10 minutes into the second half I was screaming at the tv for us to step up the bloody pitch as a team ,by 15-20 yards as we were just getting deeper and deeper . Sinton then mentioned it in commentary 5 minutes later and that was that. We just sat in . So infuriating, when they look so fragile.
Weirdly , us dropping off completely ,coincided with Dembele going off .
I thought he was our most dangerous outlet today . It’s a ridiculously low bar admittedly . But he picked the ball up and drove at them and they didn’t like it.

Well done to Ben Hamer . Made the saves he needed to , but best of all came for crosses , smashing everyone out of his way in the process . That gives a defence more confidence immediately .
We battled and worked very hard . Chair especially put in a hell of a shift , to help Field ,without really doing anything going forward .
Players playing out of position across the back 4 , so positives there.

But still can’t help feeling that it was too safe , and too cautious from the head coach regarding in game management.
The subs today were regressive and safe. Understandable to a degree, but why not put some fresh legs and pace on up front to win the game?
They were vulnerable , but must have rejoiced seeing Frey coming on instead of Smyth for example.
On a side note I saw someone on here saying they think JS might be a lot harder and sterner with his players than we think ? Silent assassin was the term used.
Not sure about that , but the last 2 matches we’ve seen 2 players subbed and openly very unhappy it . Not a good sign .

Anyhow , not as happy as some on here but certainly not as angry as some either .

Yeah I think this is a fair point Ned.

He’s starting to look worse and worse when he should have grasped the opportunity.
I think we have damaged him by what happened in the summer but players have to be bigger than that. Being out of favour is a part of football .

But a keeper who’s barely played in years, in his late 30’s is damning and is a huge risk .
If he has a bad game JS could be in hot water

Not sure if the altercation they had some weeks ago now is relevant to what’s happening regarding Kolli’s non selection , but something is a miss for sure.
I don’t think Kolli should be starting games for us, but he’s done enough to be on the bench occasionally.
I mean , that Norwich game last season alone suggested that if you play him up front he has an eye for goal .
His crowd interaction after Cov seems to have rubbed certain people up the wrong way .
I also noticed that home game against Millwall he warmed up continuously throughout the second half . Continued even when we had no more subs to make which is a little odd and even when the ref blew for full time , he continued to sprint up and down the touch line for a short time.
Maybe these are little shows of petulance ? I’m totally guessing, but if they are I wonder if it’s again, rubbing certain people up the wrong way .
But we know Esquerdinha has showed petulance on social media , yet he plays , albeit in more peculiar circumstances.
We also know that the CEO stopped Marti playing him before .
Why couldn’t it happen again?
Starts the first game of last season then banished to the youth team club photo only a couple of weeks later ?
It’s unprofessional and appears to be hugely influenced by the enormous egos of the young middle class men we have at the front and centre of our football club right now.
The length of these continuous threads about Kolli are not really about him , so much as they are about the way ‘the club’ seems to be treating a young asset who I think has something different to offer .

Chair…since he’s come back
at 23:12 6 Nov 2025

As I’ve said on the other Chair threads , it beggars belief that he seems to be one of the main concerns . Thought RND was man of the match last night , but closely followed by Burrell and Ilias.

Seems a bit of an easy target to me .
And I’ll repeat the same thing , he deserves better than to be dug out when so many others , who ARE match fit are hardly contributing at all ?
Saito anybody ?

Where does Chair sit now?
at 09:40 6 Nov 2025

Honestly , the mind boggles reading what some of our fans think of Ilias.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course m, but blimey .

As I said on another thread , he deserves so much more than continuously being the only player than can unlock a defence and the only player EXPECTED to do so .
Been surrounded by guff for years in sub standard teams more often than not scrapping for their lives .
Last night he was sharp , played 1 touch at times , created space for himself and others ….which other player got even close to half of that on the attacking aspect of our play ?
No one . Yet he should be dropped?

If you think Ilias is even close to being one of our major issues then I don’t know what to say to you .

He’ll also be gone in January .

I take your point though .
Was my man of the match last night .

Read people saying that he needs to cross earlier .
He got down the wing at least twice last night only to look up and the box be completely empty , so he just had to take another touch

Completely agree.
Embarrassing from Dembele and those backing off into our own penalty area .
He received the ball in his own half ffs !

Read a lot stuff about Chair on here today.
My own personal view is that this team , this club , is starting to become a millstone round his neck.
I know he didn’t help himself a couple of summers ago and some will disagree with me.
But since Eze left, Chair has been our only real creative player surrounded by sub standard team mates and 2 bob tactics .
Yes he infuriates at times , but he works tirelessly to find a way , often on his own.
Even on Saturday he was criticised for holding on to the ball too long whilst breaking…but throughout that , the 2 forwards everyone said he should have passed too were just running alongside defenders . They didn’t try to create an angle or check their run to make space ….he waited for an option, as so often , it didn’t happen.

Saying that when Chair plays the team often loses is a bit of a nonsense …we’ve lost a large percentage of games in the last 10 years whether he plays or not .
He’s our best player by a country mile , still ……and that really says it all.
He’s been let down by the process of building a team to actually get the very best out of him.

He deserves better .

Dicking about at the back

Completely agree

On Saturday , the lad behind me said something to his mate that was totally spot on.
It followed the 4th or 5th attempt at us taking a quick free kick that finished up with us either back at Nardi or pressed into one of our own corners .
The lad said “you take a quick free kick to put pressure on the opposition, but we are the only team I’ve ever seen that’s takes a quick free kick that finishes with us putting pressure on ourselves”.

Sums us up completely.

They Couldn't Wait Until Wednesday 10pm To Sack Him - QPR Vs Southampton Thread
at 22:47 5 Nov 2025

We looked better when Morgan came on partly because Southampton were a petrified shambles and retreated to their own penalty area . Morgan had all the time in the world.
He looked comfortable and like he can make a 10 yard pass comfortably enough which I agree is an improvement on some . But I think most of us would look relatively comfortable with the opposition in a camped in their own box .
Not sure what role Smyth had tonight. Seemed to me it was solely to help Jimmy Dunne .
How many times did he attack Manning tonight ? Can’t remember one go at him.
And as for Jimmy , I know no one will mention it but ask yourself why that transfer to Sheff Utd fell through ?
Seems obvious watching him play that he is simply not right .
He is so immobile it’s embarrassing.
What I don’t understand is we decided to try and play out from the back again .
Why?

Is it because Kone wasn’t playing ?
Well that’s crazy because for the last 4 or 5 games we’ve gone long for Burrell to challenge I serial duals and Kone in no man’s land.
Nothing changed except Chair for Kone and the ball would go either one of their heads anyway .

I don’t understand the game plan at all and I don’t think the players do either .

Not sure where we go from here. That’s not far from a strongest side.

Utter shambles
