I do like a tune that builds and rolls along..... seems you do to from a couple of your selections this morning.
In a funny sort of way it's a shame I'm not sitting on a Picadilly Line carriage listening to those on my way into another dreary day; instead I'm already 45 minutes into the day and listening on the work laptop. In another sort of way.... nah... I'll take listening at home!!!
Good tunes mate
Yeah absolutely, Moodymann is brilliant at producing those sort of tunes. I could spend hours listening to those sort of tracks.

Mr. Thing - The Uk's Own 45 King.
I normally find these Boiler sets a bit cringey..... just don't get it, bods standing around and all that.
That was good though, not a fella I've heard of and enjoyed it. Used to quite like all the old rare groove stuff and got into it a bit but not much; got a bit snooty and "right on" for me.
One that I still have in my box is this:-
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

I’ve seen Mr Thing live a couple of times and he’s excellent. He’s also compiled a few ‘Strange breaks and Mr Thing’ albums that are worth checking out.
I picked up a reissue 7” of that Mickey & the soul generation the other day - love the beginning. Got a feeling Major Force sampled it... I’ll have a dig around and see if I can find it later.

This was the mayhem tune about 15 years ago, love the video. Chris and Henry superb.
I used to end up at Liberator Acid Techno Squat Parties 98 to 00. Generally the all-dayer after the second night so edgy place & edgy me so 15 cans of Stella is probably about right (when it was 5.2%) lol.

The latest from DJ Koko.
I don't normally upload whole DJ sets but this fella is pretty amazing although wont be to everyone's tastes I'm sure.
Technically brilliant and I do like his groove selections.
Amazing what you can do with seven inchers these days............
he did this set earlier in lockdown for Defected/Glitterbox & was fab. May be some Schofields if both sets are similar vintage but really enjoyed it at the time and he is great to watch
