Wow, what a complete footballing performance from the boys in blue.

From start to finish dominated proceedings, with high energy, high tempo and slick passing football.

The atmosphere from both stands tonight was great, good to finally see a drum in the Pearl, it helped create a better atmosphere, much more singing tonight and I'm sure the players benefit from this. Sandy Lane end in full voice, buzzing to be a Rochdale fan.

Same again when we play Scunny in a few Tuesdays!

I think last nights attendance proved one thing - the vouchers in the season ticket books are a waste of time!

Not quite sure that's true. I was given a voucher yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the game which was my first since the Peterborough game. I might just have got the bug back and I also have three kids who I wouldn't mind taking to a game so that's four more potential supporters that Dale didn't have this time yesterday.

I agree there are times when all of us can`t go for one reason or another but cast your mind back to Wembley we took 17000 a quarter of those attending on a regular basis would be nice

Sorry, I for one don't want my missus attending on a regular basis. The other 14-15,000 are welcome though

I was sat next to the drum and what a difference it made, I had a great night last night. Hopefully, this will entice more people to pay a visit down to Dale and help generate a bigger and better atmosphere :)

Guess the proof will be in the pudding. Tickets on sale with 11 games for £100 or a little over £9/game. If the missing regular fans don't bite at that price, they're never coming back.

Notice in the small print: "11s & under £10".

I thought I would leave it last night as I'm currently talking to some people at dale to hopefully sort it out. It was gutting to not record yesterday but I thought it was ultimately the best decision to make.

As aleandale said Kel - I hope you get a half season ticket from Father Christmas. Don't forget the kids tickets are only a tenner each - a great little stocking filler.

Some of the football we played last night reminded me of a footballing Harlem Globetrotters last night. We just passed the ball for fun all night and god knows how many we could have scored had we wanted to.

It's utterly bizarre how the more players we have out, the better we seem to become. Hilly has put together a side from what appears to be leftovers that is unplayable as we've seen under Hill, and there's a number of perceived first team starters that you just can't see getting back into the side. We're playing with such a pace that the return of some players would be detrimental to the way we play. Talented as they are and for all the great stuff they have brought the side, I can't see the likes of McDermott, Allen, Vincenti being able to even consider a role under the way we're playing at the moment.

We know Walsall were gash but we made them look that way. It's only been a few months since they were sat where Scunny currently are, but last night was just men against boys (with the boys easing to a win). I had no concern about us losing possession last night as we had it back within seconds. It felt like bullying. The Walsall players were left scared of the ball as we just blasted them away.

How good can this side be?

That's quite a big shout, because from previous posts you've indicated what a big fan of Allen you are; but you're right. The pace we've been playing at has been a major feature in our recent success. Players coming back from injury will either have to adapt or stay on the sidelines, awaiting their chance. Fair play to lads like RNL and Tanser for being patient, and ready to take their chance when it comes. Both of them are, of course, quite pacy. Not sure how McDermott fits into the side now. I think Allen could adapt but he'd need to be played further forward than he's been used to; he's quite good at quick interchanges of passes on the edge of the area.

That is pretty much what I hinted at but even your missus would be welcome occasionally , my dig was at all the hangers on (I would be happy for them to hang on again this season) .
In the promotion season a neighbour of mine said to me`We are doing well aren`t we?` thing is I don`t think he knows where the ground is let alone actually attend a match

It's a long season and I'm sure the likes of Allen, Andrew and Vincenti will be called upon at some stage. I wouldn't be surprised if Camps attracted a few bids in the transfer window. He always had the skills but he has become the complete midfielder, he can do everything well and has the potential to get even better. Cannon's injury may have done us a favour as he was also playing really well.

The clubs next move is huge.

Half season tickets is a start... Next years full ticket needs to be as attractive and advertised properly.

Scunthorpe is the next league 1 home game I am hoping for 3000 home fans and a fair few iron for what is usually a poorly attended match ( last Saturday home game pre Christmas )

We actually have hit a small jackpot as sat 17th would have been worse still.

Boxing Day should take care of itself a great day to have a home fixture.

Midweek games have always been an issue but there are some seasons where it's been a huge contrast to last night. These figures (c/o TVOS) are our midweek home attendance (away fans not included) from close to the past twenty seasons:

To all the so called Dale fans who missed this magnificent performance.
TOUGH.

The FACT is you DO NOT KNOW, why people are unable to go to games. Just because you are able to, great you go. Just concentrate on your self and keep your ignorant comments to yourself, as to others not going. Many of us who used to go, did so when we were able to do so. Now many of us can't go.

There are many factors as to why some can't go to games, or as many as they would like to. Many if us were supporting the Dale when we were the worst team in the league, or at least one of them, going week in week out to places like Exeter on a Friday . I would say if someone has the financial means, don't have other commitments etc, it is easier than any other time in history to be a Dale follower as on the field there has never been a better time.

I missed last night, and I have NO REGRETS. Yes would have been nice to see it, but I have other priorities. Just like I had no regrets going to places like Exeter , when we were shit, but I am so glad I watched the Dale in those days. And if you , or indeed anyone doesn't like what I say, TOUGH!

Oh yes, brilliant Dale, UP THE DALE

He is under 24 so whoever signed him would have to pay compensation anyway. A club may prefer to pay a bit extra now to avoid getting into more competition for him in the summer. Camps may then also prefer the certainty a move in January brings rather than seeing what happens in the summer. Maybe his agent is already drumming up interest for the summer so has options already?

Either way I cannot see him being here next season, which will be a real shame as he has developed into a cracking player.

Camps will be leaving in the summer. As a free agent he'll be able to negotiate his wages far better than if he was sold in Jan and his agent knows that. Yes we'll get compensation but historically that's nowhere near a transfer fee at our level. Obviously if we were to get promoted to the Championship there's an outside chance our out of contract players could wish to stay with us and re-sign. Another chance we have is if Hogan was sold in Jan for huge money and we got a few million in sell on fees - we could offer players more to stay (but would the board sanction that)?
