Wasn't him not playing for Stoke because he fell out with Mark Hughes rather than his ability, we all know how good he was for us and I think it's worth the gamble in my opinion, what if he comes back and finds his feet again for us? Is he likely to get another move to a big team, I doubt it.

How much would we have to pay for a striker who is guaranteed to make an instant impact in the Premier League. It's only ever going to be a good Championship striker, an unproven player from a foreign league or cast-off from one of the bigger PL clubs.
I kind of feel this way, too. Getting Bony back is a big gamble, but we are definitely lightweight in the striker department, even if Llorente stays. Most Premier teams have three credible strikers to choose from..

The reason Bony has struggled at Both City and Stoke (if you can call a goal every other start at City a "struggle") is probably because he hasn't played regular first team football. We know he's the type of player who hits his best form when he's playing every week because that's the way it was with us.
Given the prices being paid for even mediocre or unproven forwards (£15m for Chris Wood? £12m for Jordan Rhodes?) then £12m for a player we know has been capable and could be absolutely immense isn't a bad deal.

Agree with this as he's a confidence player. I guess concern would be - unless Llorente is off too Chelsea - will he get much more game time ahead of Llorente / Tammy as don't see how Llorente / Bony oft into our tactics. Tammy and 1 other maybe if we don't sign AM, as he'll create more than Ayew or any of our wingers.

The wages and signing on fees are pure conjecture. Nobody knows what that cost will be.It's all assumption.
The Stoke thing would be more of a concern if he hadn't fallen out with Hughes, and wasn't getting selected because of ability rather than because the miserable Gog tw*t didn't like him.
On the contrary, spoke to Allen the other day and hes loving working with Hughes.

£12/13 million is well worth the risk. Bony himself stated he's been training hard for start of season. I'm sure he will want to prove Man City / stoke wrong. He will end his career here so I think it's a good buy.
