Brilliant and moving documentry about mad Ozzy.
We've heard the debate about the validity of the BBC but this is why the License fee is worth the money.
You can guarantee if this was done by ITV, it would have every Z list celebrity queuing up to talk complete bollocks about a man they've never met!
Well worth a watch!
In fairness ITV have done the odd good show!!

I dunno?
From a musical perspective, Ozzy was nothing without Iommi, Butler and Ward. Possibly '75 since Symptom of the Universe, bug ger all since.
Don't you find Sharon dislikeable? Money driven.

Good point, seemed to be able to rile a crowd up and a decentish voice but even he would admit, a lucky man in the right place at the right time. Post Sabbath he relied on his manager who surrounded him with some fantastic musicians and song writers. You have to like him though, the working class thicko who made the most of his limited ability and reached Rock God status without a musical bone in his body. Fair play.

Have to say was never really interested in his music although he did have a very distinctive vocal.
We were flicking through the channels and happened to land on this.
You did get the feeling regardless of how you felt about his missus that he would be six foot under of she wasn't around!!

Distinctive voice and character, which he used to full potential, especially on early Sabbath albums. His vocals on War Pigs from Paranoid are absolutely fabulous, hard to match in metal.

I missed it.

I'll try and catch the repeat.

Ozzy's voice is unique, like Ronnie James Dio's.

You hear the vocals you know who is singing.

When you are flicking through the channels again Paddyhoops try and find the Motley Crue one its brilliant and it has one incredible Ozzie scene. Its not him of course and factually not correct but it involves the ants and the straw .Life was a little rough back then before the World Wide Wed of camera phones otherwise it would have been all over the place .
Agreed about Sharon Osborne she kept him alive so far

he had a decent voice but the things that he had beyond hundreds of better vocalists was that star quality, an abundance of charisma and stage presence

As Tom Jones said about Ozzy on Jon Ross "He can sing".

Prior to the Queens 50th anniversary concert.

I thought it was a very well made doc. For all his lunacy, mostly drug related, he’s eminently likeable. Sharon is on the list of women I shouldn’t fancy but do. Christ alive Aimee Osbourne is seriously hot! Interesting that she only had one line in it to say she just wanted a normal life. Well worth a watch.

Never knowingly right.
Poll: How long before new signings become quivering wrecks of the players they were?
