He scored for The Hammers in the '64 FA Cup final aged 18. At that time he was the youngest to score in the final & the second youngest to play in the final. The youngest was 17 year old Howard Kendall playing for Preston against him!
He was also in the team that beat TSV Munich 1860 in the Cup Winners Cup Final the following season.
I would have selected him (and Peter Thompson) for the '66 World Cup squad in front of Paine, Callaghan & Connelly.

Just watched this old game against Derby in 1975....ended in a 1-1 draw, but we had a perfectly good goal disallowed in the first half. That extra point might have come in handy at the end of the season
