Gotta love Simon Jordan. 🤣🤣 on 15:28 - Jun 11 by knocker
So all us England supporters have got to hope Scotland do well but it ok for the Jocks to want us to get beat everytime we play. Piss off.
I'm not sure what JW is getting at, is he not more annoyed that SJ does not care either way about Scotland as in he doesn't consider there to be a mutual rivalry and therefore JW see's that as typical arrogant England supporters?
A bit like how QPR barely register on Chelsea's radar and same with us and Brentford etc
It's true to an extent, Scotland see England as their big rivals whilst England would see theirs as Argentina or Germany.

Got a lot of time for Jordan. Talks a lot of sense most of the time. I remember and I'm sure many do that he was one of the few who backed us during Faulin saga.

I also don’t get this country’s obsession (sorry Brian) for the Republic of Ireland. Again they are a foreign nation and the only common link in the main is the language and a number of their players play in this country. But they are nothing more like a geographical neighbour like the French are and I certainly ain’t going to be doffing a beret and wearing a rope of onions round my neck watching Mbappa play.

Whoever the Scottish bloke is, he’s either born stupid or playing the role of dumbass brilliantly!
Like asking a Celtic fan if they hope Rangers do well, and then berating them for replying I’m not fussed while ignoring the fact they didn’t say ‘no I hope they go bust!’

I admire your honesty about the Republic. I don't think its an obsession though. Just happens to be quiet a lot of us here( That's ok??) and a large percentage of the population have Irish heritage . I think 6 of the England squad could have claimed Irish passports. Fair play to the them . They made the right choice. As for the foreign country " thing". You are right and ask any Irish person we would gladly have been classed as a foreign country for hundred of years but heh, thats another story!! Good luck to England. Hope you do well. As for talk sport. Talk bo llocks more like!!

That’s a good reply Paddy and my post did not have any malice attached to it. And yes I appreciate the links between the two countries and also the mixed heritage of many a Brit/Irishman. But there remains a lot of French influence in this country historically, just look at hundreds of place names dotted around the land. But France is an independent nation totally separate to England and also the same with the Republic. I agree with Jordan and any other nation I may enjoy watching them but to support them? No. Not even if we do have the centre forward playing for them.
I think SJ here voices, in his usual odd verbose style, the attitude of plenty of English people to Scotland and Wales all round, not just in football. Wales and Scotland have a their problems as countries, but by far the biggest is being tied to England. Ireland solved (20/26) that problem a century ago, and polled support for independence in Wales has never been higher than it is now - Higher than support in Scotland before the 2014 referendum campaign started. The sooner more English people voice Jordan's utter lack of concern for Wales and Scotland the sooner we might haul down the Butcher's Apron for the last time and do something about Wales' 200,000 kids in poverty amongst other things.
