Heart attack, 52 years old. Absolutely shocking

He captained a team in 2012 on Ham Common near me for a charity match and signed our dog's tennis ball for my daughter. still got it. I was rather more diverted by Liz Hurley, Jemima Goldsmith and Tamara Beckwith.

Really shocked to read this earlier.

A terrible, terrible shame.

Not really a cricket fan but Shane Warne to me is a name that transcends his sport - known by the globe because he was one of the best there is.

On a platform with Michael Jordan, Lionel Messi, Usain Bolt etc.

Great quote just now from Sehwag. "...the man who made spin cool". Perfect.

You hear the latest celebrity to die and most pass me by but this one genuinely stunned me..

Way way too young and a massive shock.

Randomly yesterday I was watching a documentary on Warne on Netflix and his first ball in test cricket to Gatting.

Its when a death is genuinely unexpected that it can stop you in your tracks.

Seemed a very charismatic and interesting character who would have dominated a room just by being there.

Not something most of us have the capabilities of doing.

This news am genuinely sad !!!

A massive loss for the cricket world and the land of Oz also.

RIP Warnie !!!!

In an alternative universe, Liz Hurley would have fallen for Shaun Wane, not Shane Warne.

Amazing player it's something to consider that even in what was a truly world class set of players in 90;s early 00s pomp he still transcended above that.

Also reinvogorated what I think was viewed a dying art at the time.

Always come across well on the telly too.

RIP Warnie.
