Thanks. Yes, that's appalling but if it is one of our 'fans' he clearly has had his eyes closed when watching our team for many years.

I hope they find him/her behind their cowardly coat of anonymity.

I do wonder though if reporting these things just encourages them?

The more we talk about it the more it happens.

I don't know. Even relatively low profile sportspeople get this.

Unless you're a tennis fan, you only really hear about this guy during Wimbledon week but he still regularly gets racist abuse.

I don't know whether it's trolls who could be anywhere in the world or real fans. Hopefully it's the former but we don't know. Anyway it's prompted me to send a supportive message to Adebayo, to try and redress the balance just a bit.

I’m sure that a few resent high profile cases turned out to be people from the Middle East and South East Asia.

Also, the ones that are from the UK don’t strike me as committed racists but more the kind of person who revels in the anonymity and media attention. I think they’re the kind of person who probably commit loads of low level anti-social behaviour in their daily lives. You know the type, they’d be first to get their phone out to film an accident but the last to call for help. They’re definitely the kind of person you’d never want to sit next to at a game, moaning at every misplaced pass, first to call for the manager to go, always goading opposition fans, zero insight into the game.

If they find the person they should be publicly shamed.
