Everton finances 06:43 - Jan 21 with 7322 viewsWilkinswatercarrier

Just finished reading an article in the Guardian regarding the troubles at Everton. They have posted a combined loss of £372.6m from its past 3 sets of available accounts.
The new stadium being built is not fully funded to complete it either yet.
FFP is not my strong point, but if they are relegated I'm assuming they will fall into administration immediately.

According to the BBC website

Uefa is to change its Financial Fair Play rules in response to Chelsea's recent trend of signing players on long-term contracts.

Signing players on extended contracts enables Chelsea to spread the player's transfer fee over the life of that deal when submitting their annual accounts.

That means £89m signing Mykhailo Mudryk will be valued at £11m a year over his eight-and-a-half-year deal.

Uefa is to set a five-year limit over which a transfer fee can be spread.

Clubs will still be able to offer longer deals under UK regulations but will not be able to stretch transfer fees beyond the first five years.

The change to FFP rules will come into force during the summer and will not apply retrospectively.

It will be interesting to hear what Kieran Maguire has to say about this and whether this can be legally enforced.

Liverpool, United and now Everton, plus Qataris sniffing around Spurs, that's 20% of Premier League clubs at various stages of the selling/buying process.

Chelsea and Newcastle have recently changed hands, and with one of the dildo brothers gone, I wouldn't be surprised if Wham! weren't on the market soon.

All seems so tawdry.

The Super League isn't far behind.

I think it will be the best thing that can happen to English football. I can't see the real fans going for it and as the billionaire owners of the big clubs are so out of touch, it could be the undoing of the Premier League and even it up some what.

Yup, let your armchair Ladbrokes Lads have the super league and real football can revert back to real fans.

The Super League is further off now that Juventus have had their ball taken away.

The masterminds behind the plan are not in situ following the Old Ladies latest creative activities.

The only problem would be that they still want to pick and choose games played here and the FA and PL will bow down to them.

I agree that if they fcked off and were not allowed in any FA/league games at all then it would be refreshing.

The way things are going, I can see the PL becoming the de facto ESL, rather than that being proposed by RM/Barca/Juve.

Indeed I suspect that as well as baling them out of their own financial difficulties, another primary motive behind their plan is to head off the ever more dominant PL.

On which point, I certainly understand the argument from clubs like QPR (and if Im honest Brentford before we got romoted)! that we should just let the "Big Six" clear off and join the ESL while the rest of us enjoy "real" football etc.

But in the end, surely all clubs should at least dream of getting to the very higherst level possible? In which case then the PL, which has now had 50 different members in 30-odd years, is much more attainable than any ESL, which would certainly never accept a club like QPR or BFC.

Is Mishori the new Bungle awful signing after awful signing think in spite of him they will survive because Dyche is an excellent choice will galvanize the team and therefore the fans reaction to them. It will be old school muck and nettles run themselves into the ground for the shirt the crowd will respond and enough home wins will keep them up
