Man Utd will be motivated to double down on their various educational "respect" courses for their young players as overall it will benefit them in not losing big prospects cheaply again. It takes money to run football clubs. Greenwood also is not a great asset in terms of advertising revenue.

I would not call them friends but knew people who were known for domestic violence. It is a very common social problem. You must too I would have thought unless you live a very sheltered life.
Trying to explain why people behave in this way is not an excuse. It is an explanation why a fabulously wealthy footballer would lose all sense of decency and abuse someone.
Manchester Utd have had a culture of 'jack the lad' more concerned with social media and modern popular culture including hip hop and club culture it seems to me. Just the audio recording is enough for me. It's quite clear what he has done, there might not be enough evidence to gain a conviction which is very often the case on DV cases and even less evidence when the victim no longer wishes to proceed.
