I was worried about getting 3 for this (all 1000+) after reading the "1700 in queue"

It ended up going General Sale!!!

So not sure we will sell loads more now. I guess if they open up another stand and we only do another 100 more it doent make financial sense with cost of Stewards, Turnstile Opertator, Refreshments.

I may be wrong, but isn't the (excellent) policy that 20% always get held back for general sale? They certainly didn't last for long on general sale anyway.

"Not sure we will sell loads more now "
There are three weeks until this game , the original increased amount of 1010 tickets sold in just over 24 hours & they now always hold back 20% for general sale therefore it's always going to general sale.
I would estimate 1600 to 1800 R's fans would travel if they were able to buy a ticket.

I forgot about the 20% General Sale.

I did see it went down to those with 100 points though, so pretty sure most that really wanted had an oppurtunity.

Someone said on here we could have sold around 1600 tickets given the chance but we were capped at 1010.
I'd love to know the thinking from Cambridge as to why they crammed us down that side and kept that stand behind the goal empty? Surely, allocate it to QPR and reap the £££?

No guarantee we'd sell the 1600 seats in that stand and they'd have to police and steward it. I'd guess the cost of that would be prohibitive.

Don’t think we can grumble while applauding qpr for selling the lower school to a handful of QPR fans at the expense of 1200 away supporters. It did look odd though.

The fact that there were only a few hundred R's in school end for WBA has a lot to do with the club not putting tickets on sale in there (apart from season tickets) until the wednesday before the game & the silly 12.30 kick off time , reckon it will be well populated for the saturday 3pm games
