We love our former U's, well most of them anyway, so thought I'd start a thread where we can keep up with them.
Thought I'd kick things off with a happier moment for Matt Jay in Essex as he scored a long ranger against Chelmsford at the weekend. It wasn't a joyous return though as Torquay shipped two late goals to lose 3-2 after leading 2-0.
0.92 points per game and even more shockingly 0.79 goals scored per game. He only got two points less than Garner though (they both managed 24 league games) but I thought we were such a better team under Garner and felt he was a bit unlucky to get sacked.
Yes I agree, BG should have been given more backing to bring in the players he wanted and was far better than Mullins who was basically a 'yes man' for the upper management. Anyway, its up to the Exiles who they appoint but I can't see it ending well for them...

BBC Radio Derby understands the obligation to buy is appearance-based and the fee will be in the region of £2.7m.

Lots to consider, but the two biggest factors must be a level up from two previous season loans and agents. And the U’s …..a club on the market, in survival mode with no promotion for two decades, does not look good for a club CV.
