Very disappointing so far for me.. Came with quite a big reputation but he looks miles off it.. turns like a canal boat and his passing is horrific.. puts his team mates in trouble nearly every game..

Darren O’Dea which would be catastrophic

You’d like to think this ownership group is more competent than their predecessors. Sheehan is a dead man walking and if they decide now is the time, I’d hope they have contingency plans.

The last thing we need is a prolonged period of faffing about chasing managers we can’t afford like when Duff went.

Casey for Cabango, Samuels-Smith for Tymon. Not sure who replaces Sheehan!

I wasn't impressed with Samuels-Smith yesterday and thought he was dire. He wasn't alone though.

I find it hard to condemn any player based on the way they've mostly been sent out this season. It's pretty clear that Sheehan's Plan A hasn't worked which is why he's frantically tinkering to find a Plan B that does.

For example, it's obvious that playing with a flat midfield three was his preferred option and now that's been binned the players dont' really know what is expected of them. Some have been constantly chopped and changed or subbed with no real logic behind the decision, and that's just what we see on match days. Who knows what is going on at Fairwood.

Good players rarely become bad ones overnight.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Turning into one for sure when he’s not scoring for the opposition.

We looked solid at the back too then he chucks us in trouble when there was absolutely no need.. and it's not a one off either.. yes it was a unbelievable strike but they shouldn't have had the chance

If you look back at his involvement in conceding goals.
Hes scored three for the opposition.

And if anyone can be bothered his mistakes or poor passing, losing the ball has cost us three goals as well.

Problem is he won't be dropped. I have been really disappointed in Burgess. But again Key is far worse.

Don’t look back
Today , first goal saw a wonder strike albeit from a striker left alone to pick hos dpot
I’d suggest not the fault of Burgrss individually whereas the Second was absolutely 100% down to mr Key
Opinions are odd aren’t they
Not long ago someone posted they thought Keu “ had a great game” and hoe they enjoyed a grand day out even though we lost

How many clearances has he made?

Quite a few id say.

No one sees those though

I get stats from every game loads of them they are on everything, his clearance rate is good but it’s pretty much to anywhere. In the heat of a post match sometimes we all need to be more level headed.

Very true keef, as ive said, people only see the mistakes, especially yesterday, almost every one of thomas' crosses was cleared out of danger.

People need to realise that its all about physics and luck when putting a cross into the box, we had no luck whatsoever yesterday with the vast amount of crosses that went into their box but they definitely had with their first goal.

Let's hope we get a bit of a luck on Friday 🙏

It’s uncanny how the opposition get so much luck with bounces and deflections falling to them , it happens every game , yet we have to work for everything
Our luck has to change , we deserved at least a point yesterday

You’d think so
I’d say the last few referees have been staggering on inept
The one yesterday looked 14 and looked terrified by it all
That said, it’s true you make your own luck

We said exactly that most of the game, we never seemed to get any ball that bounced in our favour

I too agree ours has to change, its about keeping positive.

Yes, but there is an admittedly trite adage ‘you make your own luck’.

A lot of bad luck experienced by a side comes from some way a lack in mental and physical fitness. Not anticipating what may happen and then not having the speed or ability to react. Not always of course but sides who are more ‘on their toes’ tend to get a bit more luck.

I think our players have lacked a large amount of fitness and I’m hoping Matos and his team will start building the fitness levels week by week - mentally as well as physically.

Never mind luck, we are long overdue a penalty decision go our way! Some of the ones we've had this season should have been nailed-on, cast iron penalties. Referees choose what they have seen.

That’s for sure. In the Portsmouth game Ronald I think was brought down from behind quite blatantly. Not given so I thought there must have been a slight tie in the ball from the defender. No corner given so he overlooked a blatant penalty. Blatant!

That said, I think Ronald has a reputation with refs for going down too easily in games this season and last.

Whatever directives the EFL have given referees this season has created total confusion , I know we don’t want free kicks given if somebody brushes a player’s sleeve but some of the challenges we’ve had on our players that have gone unpunished lately is beyond belief , the Derby game particularly
The last few games the refs we’ve had have been deplorable, does anyone assess not these incompetents anymore

We have had one penalty in the league this season joint 11th. Ipswich have had four and are top, four teams have had none.

It's more to do with how many we should have had compared to the one we did get. Add in the one from the Caraboa Cup that wasn't given. Even the Sky TV panel couldn't believe the play on decision.
Impressive stats btw. I'm impressed.

There are many penalties not given in the Championship. In the Premier League the average penalties per game is 0.26 in the Championship its 0.14. In my opinion the sooner we have VAR in the championship the better. The Premier League stats would be closer to the championship without VAR to correct the poor decisions by referees.
