Actually the most interesting one of these for a while. I reckon even Stainrod might be able to get on board with some of the things he said in the first piece.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen him speak and not be impressed with his communication skills, his football acumen and his personality. I think we’re very lucky to have him. Definitely the best communicator since maybe Warburton?

Well I've only met him and interviewed him once obviously. I was impressed, but intrigued. He doesn't speak like a football manager. Which I think can be quite a good thing - rather this than 'Arry's bloody schtick.
I can't work him out really, or what I think about him, but I'm increasingly impressed with what he says, and how our team is playing.

I think the fact he doesn’t come out with the tired football cliche’s is one thing that I like about him. Interviews from other managers (no names) are boring, have an almost defensive attitude and you’re never able to penetrate past that to see any kind of personality. That is definitely not the case with Stephan; a man that seems very comfortable in his own skin. That kind of genuine, open personality is far more relatable and the players appear to get on well with him (from just a few snippets admittedly).

What are the specific groundbreaking takeouts you think I might be excited by here, Clive? (Not trying to be clever - I'm just a bit perplexed.)
We need to be on it every game. Set pieces matter. We need to be consistent. The past is the past.
I mean, it's not exactly forensic levels of footballing analysis, is it?
I also don't understand why he thinks Portsmouth (or 'Porpoise', amusingly) have made improvements since the start of the season. We've won five of our last seven, and they've lost five of theirs! We should be going down there with all guns blazing for three points.
Look, JS seems like a smiley type of guy you could have a congenial glass of French wine with - but I just don't find him very interesting or someone who even tells it as it is.

On verra, I guess!
You really are a very tiresome poster.

Well he’s our manager, he came in at a tough time after a popular managers departure with a bit of turmoil (and not just on here!), he’s developed some of the top players around at the moment…..then joined us, always relegation fighters and we’re sitting 7th! Think he deserves a bit more respect!

He's a teacher. The way he talks he comes across as someone who wants his players to learn and improve, I can see why our players are responding. I don't think there is a player who hasn't improved since the opening game.

Not sure where you get the idea from that he doesn't tell it like it is. Surely the fact that he's working hard to ensure that the players' feet stay firmly on the ground after an emphatic win against a side that was a Premier League team just last season would be a message that would chime with your own obsession with perfection? Surely even you would have to reluctantly admit that this side is improving in mindset, consistency and fluency right across the pitch? Presumably, you would also have to be an admirer of him going back to watch the away game against Portsmouth last season to pick up everything useful he can? And no, I personally don't believe that every mnager in this league would do the same thing.
