(With the “if there wasn’t something wrong with him he wouldn’t be here” line I hear people trott out a particular pet hate) Really hope for the sake of yourself and our hard working fans that the It’s Not Acceptable Club are placed on a sabbatical Sunday brunch time. Cheers Clive This paragraph below just had me belly laughing On the tram back from Hillsborough this year a jolly local got in my ear about it. Sound, knowledgeable, a good guy who just loved his club and enjoyed chatting about the sport with fellow travelling sufferers. I love meeting people like that, it’s one of the best bits of actually travelling to the games because you learn so much about the mood and culture of other clubs. “’Appen most teams come here put a man on him specially like, but you lot never do.” Ha ha ha. Yeh. I took him outside and beat him to death with his match programme before chucking the pasty corpse under the steel wheels at Netherthorpe Road, but he made a valid point, bless him. RIP. It’s funny because it’s so obviously and amazingly true . It’s like not one of managers / coaches / players in the last 15 years have ever heard of him. As I said in another thread, I’m not sure will be able to accept it today if we see the same thing . As you say, all starting to ‘wear a bit thin ‘ now

You must have spent the entire festive season watching Rangers, travelling/drinking and writing. It’s much appreciated I assure you…and I’ve read every word. So thank you. I did comment on the WBA match report that those things don’t happen in isolation. The decent pros in the group must have been mumbling about what the Frenchmen was doing! Portsmouth was simply down to the unprofessional players, WBA was completely down to the manager. I was fearful that we’d get a loss and a shabby draw against the bottom two and then go across town in huge numbers and the pot would boil over if the team selected was wrong, or the performance was like Portsmouth. I really believe that today is huge…JS is two games away from losing the masses, and that includes me.

Here’s hoping for less cheese eating, surrender monkeys and more foreign legion. Freedom Fries, anyone ?

While I agree, I think it's also just the collective coping mechanism of tens of thousands of us schmucks who put up with this nonsense every week. If I got steaming mad after every sh*t QPR performance, I would need sedatives to function day-to-day. It's just easier to joke about it sometimes.

One of the things I noticed when I gave up drinking was how much better I take a bad QPR performance or result. In the past I would get in to a seething, frothing rage - especially over injustices. I watched the QPR v Man Utd game when Shaun Derry got sent off when Ashley Young took a dive whilst in a bar in Germany on a stag do. I was sent outside at half time to cool off because I was in such a rage. Not good. But yeah these days I don't quite hit the euphoric highs, but nor do I hit the far more frequent crushing lows. The Norwich one last week did piss me off though.
