| Wrexham v Swansea City : Match day thread on 11:27 - Mar 14 by union_jack | R, I think what WR is saying is that the £32m worth of players give them individuals who can turn games. Look at Broadmead last night for instance. Nobody in our team is guaranteed to score in those positions, look at VIP and Franco last night. You can only coach so much, then it’s down to individual ability and I’m sad to say we are woefully short in that department. The only player worth his salt week in week out is Galbraith and as I’ve said previously, if we can keep him and sell VIP I’d be delighted. That may sound strange given he’s the leagues top scorer but that’s what I feel. Actually now, we are in an enviable position where barring an absolute freak of an end of season / total collapse we are safe. We can now play without pressure and as said above, try new things, be more aggressive, take more risks and play fringe players in readiness for next season. We’ve got plenty of experimental games left to plan early for next season. Lastly, I’m going to say it again, we need better than Galbraith and Cabango. Whether we’ll get that is open to debate but with them we will always be vulnerable. |
Decent reply Thanks I disagree I’ve no idea as to what goes on in the minds of others A Sunday league coach could identify where we go awry We can do much better Looking around, I’m not alone with my indignation And it’s Wales next !

You’re right, any coach can identify where we are going wrong but there is only so far coaching can go until you have to rely on the physical and mental ability of the players we have. We are lacking those qualities with too many of our players.

Exactly correct on your last two posts. Agree with it or not the money Wrexham have spend on players and wages has has enabled them to get players ready for the Championship. The finances we have available enabled us to get "good prospects" who in time we hope will be good enough for the Championship and higher. Most of those players are currently not of top six standard, whether they ever will be who knows. But currently most of the players we have brought in are not good enough to get us promoted, how often do we revert back to players who are established here. There needs to be a total rethink in recruitment and youth development at the club and it may take a while to develop, the policy of large player influx of players we hope will turn into Championship players is not working.

Yes, it’s always going to be a bit hit or miss but hopefully we can get future recruitment right but in a higher bracket if we have some money to spend within P&S regs.

Well yes BUT surely a coach can/ should be able to stop this ludicrous sideways passing Also it’s awful to see Vig standing on the ball looking up for ages then kicking into touch

With you all the way on your latter point. What’s the point in inviting the press then not having a clue how to bypass it? That needs work without a doubt.

| Wrexham v Swansea City : Match day thread on 22:04 - Mar 13 by RichardO | Couldn't be interpreted in any other way than a penalty, poor challenge by the defender. The sense of urgency of our game diminished ,not saying you go all out attack but the lack of pace in our game was telling at no time was a change of pace employed to outwit their defenders or pull their midfield out of shape. |
If we need inspiration and I daresay we do then we can do a lot worse than watch Real Madrid v Man City this week . A masterclass in attacking football and worth watching for Valverdes hatrick alone .George Best would have been proud. As far as the swans are concerned I think we need a total rethink of our play in the final third we seem totally bereft of ideas at times.

Yep there have been too many times we look great until we get to the opposition box then we slow down and go sideways ,just take a shot on ,we try to be too clever and lose the ball and end up back with our keeper ,who takes sooo long to play the ball forward all our players are marked up It’s like pause ,rewind ,repeat every game, every one watching the game can see it why can’t Mayos 🤯🤯🤬🤬

At some point we have to stop blaming the managers and ask are the players good enough. IMO apart from Galbraith we have no creativity in the team to up the tempo and play a killer pass.

or, and I appreciate this is asking a lot of ALL football fans, we show a bit of self awareness and manage and be consistent with our expectations! from being on the brink of going down with a mid table championship team to not been happy with a solid mid table position, and failing to acknowledge on that basis we will not be great in all games. full stop. Don't get me wrong, of course we should question if standards are not great, but the vitriol at players and managers is ridiculous. we appear to change our strategic expectations more than trump and some of our old members appear to have never moved away from toddler tantrums and emotion that is ill befitting of their advanced years!

It’s anything but Players and managers earn a good living out of our teams They enjoy the adulation They should also accept the flak Most do Football forums though see “ positive” supportive warlocks which impresses only the impressionable The players work at training Or should do To make themselves better Look at how one footed Tymon and Burgrss are How bad are eons free kicks How pitiful is Ronald which ball at feet What is ridiculous is him turning to travelling fans arms waving as he wanted them to love him Ridiculous We should call it out as such We now accept mediocrity having been coached into doing so by owners and coaches over the years

| Wrexham v Swansea City : Match day thread on 09:35 - Mar 14 by wwcigne | He is a good reaction saver but He’s a liability for free kicks played in and around the 6yard box , he’s a big lad but never comes off his line to punch or compete for the ball and clear it I wish he’d play the ball forward quicker too instead of slowing the game down until all our players are marked up |
He's the best stopper in the league. However, he's not a goalkeeper; he's never going to boss the 6 yard area. He seems frightened of contact. In the games Andy Fisher has played, we have seen him come out and dive at attackers feet to win the ball and snuff out the attack. It's normally twice per game. Yet I haven't seen Vigs do it all season. Not once. His saves are spectacular and that's what people remember. But ...

Vigouroux has gained us points in games this season but he has serious flaws to his game and any decent manager will work on these. Would a more commanding keeper make it easier for the central defenders and would a keeper with better distribution make it easier for a quick counter. Vigouroux is OK but not beyond criticism.

| Wrexham v Swansea City : Match day thread on 20:11 - Mar 14 with 1365 views | builthjack | The away turnstiles are very dated, really narrow, long queues, 30 years behind the times. Concourse so narrow, a danger to the public. Toilets big enough to take about 8 people at a time. 1300 wanting a pee had no chance. As for the bar in the away end, hundreds queueing for one small service point. All bloody awful. Dangerous in fact. | |
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

They cannot be accepted into the Premier League with such a colossal mess at their ground. People talk about safety at football events, they are a prime example of a dangerous environment.

If Vigaroux was the "complete" article he wouldnt be here! Like Ronald and a few others. Hopefully Marge wull work on his "shortcomings" during the summer. No player is beyind criticism....especially amongst our fan base but sometimes especially when we lose some of us fans go a little OTT. Lets face it you could say Franco ir Vip shoukd have stick for not scoring. Either ir both goal goes in its a different game. Wrexham can no longer sit back as they did looking for the counter they have to bring the game to us and be more open. One side took their chances one didnt. That diesnt mean we havent got to make some changes in the summer but things are not as bad as the usual overreaction following a loss.
