Hyam should have been penalised and a penalty given for the two shirt pulls in the first half and the blatant shoulder in the back in the second
That said if you play the way we did second half you don’t deserve anything…and if Matos can’t see what everyone watching saw then we’ve got problems, sideways and back when you’re 3-0 up is fine but when you’re losing it’s mind boggling and completely disrespectful to the fans that made a very long journey on a Friday night

Couldn't be interpreted in any other way than a penalty, poor challenge by the defender.
The sense of urgency of our game diminished ,not saying you go all out attack but the lack of pace in our game was telling at no time was a change of pace employed to outwit their defenders or pull their midfield out of shape. | | | |

We f’d about when we did get near they’re box , shoot ffs ,it’s how you score , trying to thread passes through non existent gaps and walk the ball into the net is absolutely pointless as was shown tonight , didn’t anyone in the club watch them against Chelsea !!! … if not it’s criminal

They let us have the ball as much as we wanted ‘ because we don’t always do anything with it ‘ that’s what Parkinson said and he’s right , Wrexham tried to play the ball into the box every chance they had because they wanted to win , we just did the same old sideways and back cack band tried to walk it into the net
We look good playing fast flowing ,forward oriented football,it’s down to Matos to stop the negative stuff but he isn’t , he lets the players go to the default crap
If you put your hand in the fire, you get burnt… if you’ve got any sense you don’t do it again , when is Matos going to learn and stop the tedious faffing about with goal kicks and the pointless slow and meaningless possession for possession sake cack we see far too often and try to win games , 70% possession stats might look good on paper but the only stat that counts is the score and Matos lost badly tonight

Definitely not doom and gloom by a long way. The report is obviously taken in isolation, and I agree it can’t keep cropping up. Matos didn’t get his homework right. It’s a shame. But that second half of football was shocking. |  |

He is a good reaction saver but He’s a liability for free kicks played in and around the 6yard box , he’s a big lad but never comes off his line to punch or compete for the ball and clear it

If we had taken our chances first half....Franco and Vip.....the stonewall penalty given it would have been a different story.
We still created a couple of chances 2nd half...Stamenic shot saved tioped round for a corner and Yalcoue who decided to aim for the corner flag
We lost away to a side on the crest if a wave settled both off and on the field with the same managee for rhe past 5 years leadimg them to succesive promotions.
Whilst we have seen how many Chairmen,CEOs DoFs and owners in that period...and are on what our 5th manager?

With the play offs now gone its time to be brave and try to implement a more attacking system away from home which causes problems all around the pitch - our one dimensional, meandering approach at the moment will only ever get us to where we are now in mid table with teams letting us have the ball and capatilising on our mistakes and lacklustre defending.
Time to focus on how we move our game forward, if that means putting in a few youngsters or changing shape I am sure the vast majority of fans would support that rather than continue with the current players & system away from home. This team desperately needs an injection of pace, we really struggle against pace as everyone knows so it would be nice to get some players in who can trouble teams with good old fashioned raw pace to give us a better counter threat.
Matos has done an excellent job since joining and this is not a knee jerk reaction to what we saw last night, more a realisation that things have to change over the next 8 games if we are to build a solid platform for next season.
Its pretty clear that to improve we need to make some player changes as we are carrying to many average players currently that just aren't good enough to get us to the next level. I forecast 59 points about 4 months ago and still think that would be a good return from where we were back then, its not easy being a Swans fan, even the wins are pretty stressful never mind the abject defeats.
I would have taken 3 points from our 2 away games this week with our away form, 2 wins on the road in succession is a big ask for this squad unfortunately.
We have a great platform to build from at home, the challenge is to become more threatening away from the Swansea.com to build a more consistent team....over to you Matos and team please use the remaining games to try something different away from home. | |

R, I think what WR is saying is that the £32m worth of players give them individuals who can turn games. Look at Broadmead last night for instance. Nobody in our team is guaranteed to score in those positions, look at VIP and Franco last night.
You can only coach so much, then it’s down to individual ability and I’m sad to say we are woefully short in that department. The only player worth his salt week in week out is Galbraith and as I’ve said previously, if we can keep him and sell VIP I’d be delighted. That may sound strange given he’s the leagues top scorer but that’s what I feel.
Actually now, we are in an enviable position where barring an absolute freak of an end of season / total collapse we are safe. We can now play without pressure and as said above, try new things, be more aggressive, take more risks and play fringe players in readiness for next season. We’ve got plenty of experimental games left to plan early for next season.
Lastly, I’m going to say it again, we need better than Galbraith and Cabango. Whether we’ll get that is open to debate but with them we will always be vulnerable. | |
