He obviously didn't want to be here, as his attitude towards the club and fans fully demonstrated, but in this article they're implying that he's now up north at a Premiership club and is struggling because he's away from his home (no doubt on £60,000 grand a week or more).

I think he was pressurised by his family and agent to make the move. He clearly has potential, but needed time to develop, that would have happened if he had stayed at Saints, But at Everton he is just a very small cog and can be easily lost and not get the careful handing he needs, Shame, but he now has plenty of money for the next few years | | | |

I said exactly that when he was here. How many world class goals did he score, whilst he was here? I can't remember many. That word "Potential" is a nothing word. I have the potential to win a marathon. Michael Owen had potential at 17 because he scored for England against Germany and scored world class goals. We can't just say "He's got potential.if he isn't showing anything!" All I saw when he was here, was sulking around the pitch, doing nothing, apart from.the odd sprinting past a player. 40 million was a brilliant piece of business. | |

I’m not going to defend him as there’s nothing really to defend. When all the team are fit, he doesn’t get in but with Grealish out, he should have took his chance when it came along.
One thing I would add, and this is nothing to do with Dibling, Moyes has form for buying players and not playing them. Previously even the likes of Leighton Baines was bought by Moyes and then sat on the bench for six months. He also did similar with Lescott and Jagielka who went on to have good spells at the club. Fans are a bit frustrated with him over this, especially with Merlin Rohl who got man of the match in the win at Villa in January and hasn’t been seen since. And Alcarez who Moyes plays McNeill in front of. He also brought Armstrong back from Preston, he played great in a few games and now doesn’t even make the bench. The same with George, he plays him for five minutes off the bench now and again.

Up until Xmas that season he was amazing. That first game against United, he turned Dalot into knots for the whole game, and got the penalty. After Xmas he went quiet, whether that was because of Duric changing the tactics or for other reasons who knows. Occasionally I speak to Tyler's Dad as he's involved in football near me, and he said he preferred the ball played to his feet, Duric went long ball, and the team generally didn't respond to his tactics. (Maybe Russball was too ingrained at that time).
Tyler didn't seem interested after Xmas but he had done enough to gain all the plaudits etc. I suspect he was tired of the SR shambles and his new German agent was doing everything to entice him away. Shame I would have loved to seen him in our current team. | |
