He may or may not have been at the club he may have gone back to Uni for a few months hopefully the club who correctly conduct themselfs in the right way have a few things they can put forward which will blow the case apart ?

The April award photo was taken on the 8th but the incident was on the 7th actually.
So why wasn't he in the March award pic? Spying again? come on lol.

- why not spying again a month earlier? even if not, the fact he isn't there means nothing
- why not be on the front foot in the media?? Boro have been and so have set the agenda and expectations. Everybody has heard Boro's case and that's why the world is against us. If Saints really have a great defence (such as him not still working for us) then they have been stupid not to put that out in a statement.
and btw "surprise" would also be a stupid strategy, never before attempted in court. You may have heard of trials being biased by media coverage when the press assume that someone is guilty. But no lawyer ever claims that "it was unfair on my client that no one thought he was guilty because then we weren't able to surprise them with our evidence". [Post edited 15 May 14:39]

I do think we're playing this correctly. I would like to think the blatant media manipulation, data privacy breaches and hysterical lack of due process being followed from Boro is all going into Saints' own 'evidence bag' in preparation for litigation proceedings of our own. The reputational damage and material impact on our share price would be good places to start. If indeed the 'spying' was as described by Middlesboro (increasingly this is starting to look more and more manufactured and inflated above what it actually was), then the undue influence exerted by Gibson through his friends in sections of the media (Winter, the mail, the telegraph, talksh!te etc) is surely sufficient jeopardy to throw the whole thing out. The morality spin being put on this whole thing is sickening to watch and I genuinely don't think there is anything Saints can say in public at the moment that would change the perception that is being shaped of us - in fact, it would probably make it worse (I suspect Boro are trying to bait us into saying something which they can then capitalise on further). Today seems to have yielded a slight wind change in the comments made by several ex players, talking heads who are starting to comment on Boro's deplorable faux-outrage and hysteria. Hopefully over the next couple of days we'll see that continue. At that point, I would expect us to start sharing our side of the story a bit more, and hopefully time that in alignment with the EFL's decision (I think we'll get fined, and I don't think it'll go much further). Of course there is... if we had something to say. If any of the following were true:
- he doesn't work for us
- he was on holiday, or authorised leave at the time and had no contact with the club
- after our internal enquiry, one junior member of staff has been suspended and we look forward to showing the evidence of the club's innocence to the panel
If any of those were true, there is nothing to stop us announcing that, and that would change perceptions. | | | |

What would be great is if we have enough proof that we did absolutely nothing wrong, the northern tvvats could possibly be charged with false accusations and therefore bringing disrepute or something towards us.
Everyone away from ant interest in SFC is gagging for us to be crucified, so let's just hope that by producing enove evidence we can walk away with heads held high. We've accepted the charge, not pleaded guilty to the charge so far |  |

Agree with this. The club haven't done anything to extinguish the flames, apart from an early rumour that he was a lone wolf, which may have come from elsewhere.
Obviously Boro have been lying about the incident re recording equipment etc and why would the spy stand there with his camera in hand and be photographed by security? So they are coming across as trying to deceive the panel.Not a good look.
BUTwhy have Saints waived their right to the 14 days to reply? That doesn't make sense. The incident happened on 7th. So Boro contacted the EFL on 8th? Which means Saints had until 22nd to reply as the rules state. Had Saints legally stuck to this date, and the used their right to appeal a verdict the final would have been moved back to mid June? with all the Wembley congestion causing chaos for everyone.
So the EFL would have been bound to play the final on 23rd with Saints or the whole thing would would end in a sh*tshow. | |

This shit has been going on since he started in the first team over 30 years ago.
Ferguson used to employ reverse shithousery by getting everyone other than the real pen taker to practice them in training. He would get key players to be helped off the field barely able to walk unaided, feigning serious injury...started next game as usual.
Butt categorised Boro as the worst kind of whining douchebags who should man up and get a life.

You're right it's a bit strange that Saints rolled over for the EFL. It's been reported that we have done the same with regard to our right to protest - it's said we've agreed that any protest will be made within 48 hours.
So why? It's all speculation, but I think the most likely answer is that we are trying to get a lighter sentence by cooperating, just like you get a lighter sentence if you plead guilty. We could have made it a nightmare for the EFL and didn't. So, there may well have been conversations along the lines of... if we make it easy for you, will you look at us more favourably? | | | |
