It's been tried before and didn't really work. Most people prefer to drink in local pubs before and after games, and fewer have the time to for evening games anyway. You may draw some people away from the Harvester, but I can't see many abandoning the Railway, Globe, Commercial etc. They're trying to create a kind of tailgate culture which doesn't really exist here.
Probably better off turning that plot of land into a proper drop off/pick up point.

It wasn't used well the last time despite the live bands and other entertainments, which is why they stopped doing it.

I found it strange asking if I would use it without saying exactly what would be available. We can all guess, but will it just be a ramped up version of what is available on the concourse/Mel Nurse Bar or will it be proper dining experience/pub food style eaterie.

Get a good chef in who knows his onions literally along with a good team . Lots of huge naan breads freshly baked . Balti bowls all round . Good beer. Jobs a good un .

Totally agree. It’s more of an American thing, and I think that’s why it was thought up by the owners in the first place. Fair doos for them trying to increase match day revenues, but unless new young fans adopt it, can’t see older supporters changing their pre match rituals

Get the pricing right, good music, old players milling around, completions, good BBQ grub..etc . Get that old Vetch days feeling about the place not the Kev Johns hospitality vibe

As much as I support the idea, I think they may have shot themselves in the foot with the Swansea Jack pub in the town. Surely one of the business drivers for that place is for people to go there for pre/post game drinks?

I agree with Doc Wins, people have always used the local hostelries' since the Liberty was opened, people are creatures of habits and will more or less stick to their usual habits, not saying they won't give it a go once or twice, but the novelty will where off and normal service will ensue, the Swansea Jack is a goer though people will call there before games and call back after, either way one or the other could suffer poorish trade on matchdays, nothing really to lose by giving it a go though.

Went to the Swansea Jack Pub Saturday of the air show . There were 4 of us and we ordered over £60 of food . Only problem was they didn't do takeaways. After much quibbling and to and froing my mate suggested we leave then the manager , a Polish guy came out and told us it was fine . Didn't leave a very good first impression tbh.

I disagree. It may take a while to properly take off but as long as the beer and food are decent and not overpriced, there is entertainment for kids and the screens ars big enough, itll get there.

Let’s face it the pubs in Landore are not the most child friendly Families don’t want to socialise in hard drinking macho pubs that are not much bigger than a front room Bottom line is we need to attract more and that means welcoming people not treating them as an inconvenience
I haven’t been back home for some tone but at least we are miles better than the Anfield experience I’ve been offered a hospitality day with my former company at Liverpool but frankly I hate all that bollox

Price is a big issue. If they take the proverbial then they deserve to fail.
Maybe Wetherspoons should get the franchise to run it😁
