he could, i personally don't think he's quick enough or clever enough in his movement to succeed at the top table. He'd be another Piroe for me. However for £18/20m i think we should let him go and get in a CH and C who can push us on and we have 2 good strikers that could share the load and possibly get another in on loan (Dare i say we attempt an audacious loan bid for Piroe) | |

He's proven he can score goals in the championship. I don't think a move to a struggling Premier League team will do much for his development (will do wonders for his bank balance though).
I'd like to think he can go up with us, and see how he fairs in a settled team.
It's worth noting he's the current championship top scorer, and he didn't start many of the opening games under Sheehan. If he gets get his match fitness up to speed this year I think he can go in and match or even better last goals tally, especially with the (hopefully) improved attacking players we've just brought in. He'll hopefully have even more chances.
On the flip side, he's likely going to be more of a marked man this season with teams now fearing and knowing more about him, that however should give the players around him more space and opportunity.
To answer the OP question - if a buying club stumps up his value (£20mil +add-ons) then I think we'll sell with already Idah and Stewart waiting in the wings. But the move probably has to appeal to VIP too (no point going to Hull IMO) | | | |

Think if we got the same deal as we did for Piroe £12m + add-ons we’d be doing pretty well. Not forgetting that Piroe had 2 x 20 goal seasons for us. He lacks pace for sure but has a great right foot. Wouldn’t be disappointed to see him stay but suspect he has reached his ceiling. Hope I’m wrong. |  | | |

A player is only worth what another club is prepared to pay for him. We might put a £20m+ valuation on Vipi, but if nobody else offers more than £12m for him, then that's what he's worth.
The question then becomes whether ownership values what he brings to the team more than they do £12m, and based on what we've seen thus far you'd have to conclude that they do. |  |

In that respect different but I can almost guarantee the outcome. Fans’ expectations will outweigh performance which will cause a downward spiral in his game. However his value can also be determined by what price the selling club is prepared to sell. That's his value to the club. Piroe had 2 x 20 goal seasons with us & one decent season with Leeds in the Championship. He has not played a lot in the EPL. Think we have seen the best of him. He wanted out, not sure trying to bring him back is the way to go
