After a far from convincing start to the season and in particular yesterday’s capitulation against West Ham’s youth team together with a so far very poor transfer window, I’m beginning to think the previously unthinkable.
The longer the F A drag their feet the more uncertainty exists. Footballers are a notoriously fickle bunch and I’m starting to wonder if certain players have given up putting in 100% for Tonda because of the fact his future at the club remains in doubt.
In other words not knowing whether he will get a short touch line ban on the one hand,or a years ban from football on the other, is having an adverse effect upon the players and the club in general.
Add in the fact that some players possibly resent the fact that his “ spying “ tomfoolery has cost them a promotion bonus and the chance at The Premier League and in hindsight perhaps a clean split would have been better for all concerned ?
I now expect a torrent of posts calling me a bed wetter or similar !

If our owner wasn't spineless he would have sacked Parsons/Spors and Tonda who were all responsible for the shambles which has cost him 200m.
Drawing a line under the whole sorry tale would have been the best thing for the club. As it is the saga is just dragging on and on.
I don't think Eckhart has the experience to deal with the fallout from last season and having a vastly inferior squad this year.
An experienced manager and new DOF would have made it easier to navigate what was always going to be a very difficult season. [Post edited 26 Aug 10:33]

Sorry I did forget Charles, i rated Charles, but with injury he missed a big chunk of the season through injury and only started 21 games, 12of those under Will Still.
So after Tonda arrived he started just 9 under him plus 10 as sub | |

I can’t believe that some fans are calling for Tonda to go.
After the devastating end to last season and a couple of poor games, one in the Carabo Cup it’s far from the end of the world.
Of course we have to improve but I have faith in Tonda to turn it round,it will take time . |  | | |

When Tonda came in he won about 5 games on the trot, he was the Messiah. Then he hit the buffers.
Lost the next 6 games and many were saying he was a fraud and wanted him out.
He took a long hard look at his players and sorted it out and we went on our incredible run. So let's see if we recruit some players, see if THB stays, and see if Tonda can get the new boys firing.
Even if we lose a few early doors there's no other Championship coach I'd rather have. | | | |

We're going to be wobbly until the transfer window closes next Tuesday.
We can hope that the players that leave will be replaced well and then when the squad is clear, the real rebuilding will start.
Despite all the positive words, it was going to take a while to get over what happened last year.
And we've just got to hope that in Tonda we've got the manager who can fashion a winning team out of whatever he has got.

All I’ll say is Tonda has a 61.4% win percentage has lost just 8 games in 44 matches

Players were asked if they wanted him to stay and they all said yes so don't know where you're getting the idea of resentment from.

Agree Sonicboom. I think (as long as he does not get a long ban) Tonde will turn it around. The performances at the moment are not good - certainly last night the 2nd half was awful in terms of attitude and application but the transfer window does not help. | | | |

Why is everyone being absolutely mental this season, we've played four games, lost 2 and won 2, given we're traditionally slow starters and the transfer window hasn't closed yet it's frankly insane how people are throwing their toys out of the pram.

Social media has a lot to answer for, it encourages people to massively over react rather than just getting on with it, the best thing i've done is getting off social media tbf.
