I'm pretty sure that the Club are properly lawyered up now. It's never a good idea to disrespect a court or tribunal before they've made their decision. And if our argument is that we have been punished enough, we will have made our case as well as we can, I am sure.
At the end of the day once all the evidence including our representations have been heard, Steve Gibson will make his decision and we will just have to accept it. |

At the start of last season, all hope of any creativity seemed to be on him but once Tonda took over as manager, for me he was the one player who didn't seem to improve.
I think it's great he's gone to Italy. It's a season long loan, so he may well come back more accomplished.
And it's great too that a young man can move to a European country to work and learn the language. Brexit has robbed so many British youngsters of this opportunity. |

It wasn't that he had some bad games.
It was simply that he let in soft goals on a very regular basis. Regular enough for fans to notice, and nothing to do with prejudice.
And it's hard enough trying to win games without your keeper regularly gifting goals to the opposition. |

He played 92 games for Saints. Whatever view Saints fans formed about him, it's hardly the case that he wasn't given a chance to 'show what he can do'.
We know exactly what he can do. He can make brilliant saves one minute and then get beaten softly at his near post or low down the next.
Only those, like you, with Bazunu Clickbait Syndrome think he was treated unfairly by Saints fans. |

Yes, that's him all over in terms of why he's so frustrating. He actually gets down to it enough to get a hand to it, but it still goes in.
For every great save he makes, there is one of these. Other keepers make these mistakes just not as consistently as he does.
And as for Nick saying that he must be good because he was in goal during our long unbeaten run. Maybe the point is during that period he obviously had a very effective side in front of him, so had little to do.
Most people would doubt we'd have won the play offs with him in goal. |

We're going to be wobbly until the transfer window closes next Tuesday.
We can hope that the players that leave will be replaced well and then when the squad is clear, the real rebuilding will start.
Despite all the positive words, it was going to take a while to get over what happened last year.
And we've just got to hope that in Tonda we've got the manager who can fashion a winning team out of whatever he has got.

I didn't actually use the word 'all'; however, I was generalising.
I am talking about general demographic and sociological change and yes I think it's better to welcome it that fear it.
We can't stop it, it will happen whether we like it or not, so we are far better positioning ourselves to welcome it positively than getting into a bitter stew about how awful it is.
And that's not to say we can't try to influence it as we welcome it, but again far more likely to get a hearing if we are positive towards it that simply trying to crush it or shut it down.
King Canute comes to mind. |

I wouldn't know about that Jelly, being in West Dorset.
But as you've mentioned it, yes I am more concerned about the influx of East and North Dorset folk to these parts than Muslims.
It's not that I'm racist, some of my best friends are from other parts of the County, it's just that they're not like us and don't respect our traditions.

And what exactly is you or Farage's plan for the birth rate differences? Encourage more white babies or discourage Muslim ones?
Have you really got nothing else to worry about than being overrun by Muslims in, what was it, 25 years time?
I'll humour you, let's assume that at some point in our children's lifetime, the UK population is over 50% Muslim. Do you think they will all be radical Muslims? Do you think there might be a range of political opinions amongst them?
But let's even say that Muslim's get to a 52% majority in favour of the wholescale introduction of Sharia Law. It was good enough for Brexit, I think you'd just have to get over it, wouldn't you? |

He did this idiotic thing because the idiot Trump asked him to.
It's why a lot of mental stuff starts and then creates an unholy mess.
I agree that he put a lot on the line. He gambled that sweeping up after himself would be better than refusing Trump, particularly in the run up to a World Cup.
Let's see if he gets reelected. More likely than not still, would be my guess. |

Personally, I don't believe he had any desire to see this happen. It was all too amateurish and he could easily have predicted the response. I think he knew it was bound to fail and that's why he went along with it. That might sound ridiculous but this guy is a slippery as a slippery eel, so don't rule anything out.
But I'm more interested in understanding his wider impact on World football.
Does anyone know what that has been? |
