| Is Jay Fulton undroppable ? 18:58 - Nov 1 with 1679 views | KeithHaynes | They all had a mare last weekend, but yesterday he was incredible (again) His fitness too is testament to all the extra hard work he does out of training in the gym and on the training pitch. | |

Depending on how Stamenic is I would start Fulton for 60 minutes then bring Stamenic on. Then start Fulton again against Birmingham. Edit. From AI, I'm not sure if its accurate or not. Fulton has made 9 starts for the club in all competitions this season. Looking closer at the matches he started, Swansea has an exceptionally strong defensive record with him in the starting lineup, securing a clean sheet or keeping an opponent scoreless while he was on the pitch in 7 out of those 9 games. I said that last sunday. We will rarely struggle with Jay in front of the back 4. He should start every game and then be taken off after 60 depending on how we are doing.

Ok his salary at the time couldn’t be matched by interested clubs or else I think he would have gone. Every manager has seen him as a player they will nearly always pick.

Nice mix in the midfield having both Fulton's and Eustaquio's experience helps, as for that attacking flair element, are we just waiting for Widell's to score his first this season, it is on the cards🤞🏼

I think Widell playing where he does is helping with the high press and allowing Eustaquio the space to dictate play.
| Is Jay Fulton undroppable ? on 08:16 - Nov 2 with 679 views | heatwave | How refreshing to see a positive post about Jay. There's always been a decent player there in Jay. He has been outstanding so far this season. Yet he'll only need one poor game or mistake to be pilloried by his critics. | | | |

His “ critics” don’t matter The team does He’s always been a great pro and nobody has criticised him for being greedy, selfish or disruptive I can guarantee he won’t and hasn’t been affected in any way by his “ critics” because he knows what professional sport is about ; you get praise , you get shite. Frankly, pilloried is a ludicrous adjective Some critics criticise fellow fans looking out for them after the team Bloody wins rather than joining together in praise Few clubs have so many fans like ours that openly despise each other more than the opposition Utterly nuts For years he has been average and has earned a good living Right now , he’s been superb and it begs the question as to why our former coaches have mucked him about , the coaches “ critics” also “ pilloried” Fulton is not the only player Martin ruined , as this clueless critic pointed out many times Unstoppable ? I thought I'd look up ''Pilloried'' in case I misused it. pilloried Pilloried is the past tense, past participle, and adjective form of the verb pillory, which means to severely criticize, attack, or ridicule someone in public (especially through the media or press). There is another interpretation.PILLORIED | English meaning - Cambridge Dictionary Cambridge Dictionary https://dictionary.cambridge.o › dictionary › pilloried to severely criticize someone, especially in a public way: Although regularly pilloried by the press as an obnoxious loudmouth. He's certainly not that. [Post edited 2 Nov 9:49]

English is certainly a bugger of a language One mans pillory It’s quite a nice sounding word really I was recalling ,only yesterday, the days when we went bust and how low we were Today, frankly, all the bitching, squabbling, pillorying and the shooting of poison arrows is something I thought I’d never see at my age as we looked dead and buried Critics die and are forgotten but the club moved on Tomorrow , we shall discuss the muses of the Enchiridion as Epictetus got pilloried too

Probably why Russell Martin's team is struggling in the 3rd tier. Id say he'd found his level but he should never be a football manager.

To me it was apparent from the start He s a very shrewd individual and one who looks after his interests Our board were taken in as were Soton,Rangers and now Leicester no shame in that however,it happens What is/was shameful is how he was defended by folk who should have known better He was rumbled and hes made been made financially secure winning nothing at all in the process. That is exceptional

Considering the amount of footballers who have played at the professional level it’s strange that out of that pool which increases annually there’s a dire shortage of decent managers , it seems the merry go round of managers who fail but still get high profile jobs is something I’ve always found strange .

For me, Martin lost my support when he sent Fulton to the doghouse, derided him to force him out of the club, and telling him in public statements that he was free to leave the club. Then Martin decides to bring him back to the fold after no takers in the market, and Jay, the true professional, helps lead the club to almost making the playoffs. It's Jay's true professionalism with so much class and about how he handled that awkward time of his career that stands out. No, he would be the first to say that he's not undroppable, especially when there are as many games to be played in 7-8 days. But we/I sure like his consistency, especially with this young squad. He and Eustaquio make a good tandem. [Post edited 2 Nov 14:03]
