Quite surprised how much credit some of you are giving to France.
What France has is a very potent strike force. Benzema and Ribery seem to be hitting form and a complicity at the right time, Nasri is starting to find his feet in the team and there is a strong bench with Giroud, Menez and Ben Arfa (I'd love Benzema and Giroud to play together but it doesnt fit the way we play)
However, Diarra as a defensive midfielder is a liability (M'Vila is injured) and the defence is very shaky. Strangely Blanc, who I rate, seems intent on keeping the dodgy pairing of Mexes and Rami. Also he insists with that tw@t Evra when Clichy seems on form and much better |
Think you are right mate.
Les Bleus are very good going forward and will surely be too good for an England defence featuring captain clunge, but I think they will be found out defensively against the better teams.
France will make it to the semis at least for me, so I am going with an outsider: Russia. (I realise that I might already look a nob at circa 10 this evening  ) |  | | |
