Ingram “hung out to dry” by the manager? Wow! Why do we have to find blame at every doorstep with the club right now? He’s just a poor goalkeeper. End of.
He waited patiently, he got his chance, and a few more, and he just isn’t good enough, and never has been. Even Wycombe die hards would tell you he lacks technique, is a jack in the box, and his kicking is woeful, despite being a “good shot stopper”.
No dark arts, no search for blame, just a harsh dose of reality. A shame yes, but the club is trying to bring in young promising players from the lower leagues, its a multi-year effort and some players will work out, others not.
It just hasn’t worked out for Ingram and I doubt it will now. Whether it be the club believed they could work on his weaknesses and later found out they couldn’t, or that he was just a poor choice by our scouts - is what is more up for debate in my opinion |  | | |

I've explained exactly why I think that in the piece. He was already facing a difficult job this season, and the manager added to that by making him try and play in this budget Barcelona/Man City style which he's not capable of doing, and had shown he wasn't capable of doing in pre-season training based on the sessions I saw. |  | | |

He was already facing a difficult job this season, and the manager added to that by making him try and play in this budget Barcelona/Man City style which he's not capable of doing, and had shown he wasn't capable of doing in pre-season training based on the sessions I saw. |

Ok, well I've got you saying that to me here, meanwhile over on Twitter I've got several people saying I'm basically a PR guy/company man for the club, never saying anything bad about them because I'm so bothered about keeping a programme column. So some people read what I write and think I'm too harsh, and some people read what I write and think I'm up the club's arse. Fun times.
