Utrecht is really good city if you just like mooching about in a pretty city and stopping for a beer every now and then - 25 mins away from Amsterdam by train. Leiden's a really nice city too and only about 30 mins away. A bit further afield you have Rotterdam which is a decent night out and interesting as a contrast to most other Dutch cities as it got flattened in the war, so is largely post-world war II architecture, but not the prettiest. Not that fussed by the Hague. Have a good trip. |  |

On day 5, still not bored, been to Utrecht, did the stadium tour today, one thing that came out of that, every concert they put on they get an extra 15000 in and the revenue generated from each concert is €7 million!! [Post edited 11 Apr 2019 19:01]

Glad you're having a good time, mate. Think Smegma was a bit harsh - one of my oldest mates has been living in Amsterdam for 20+ years, so I've been there loads and even though I've never gone in for the weed/coke/pro's, I've never got bored of the place. I'm happy with nice neighbourhoods to walk around and decent bars, though; easily pleased. Cracking city. Great country. | |

I’ve never smoked not even a fag, the red light district is a bit sad, lots of young japs taking advantage, end up most nights in the rock bar listening to some great tunes, going to Harlam tomorrow then flying back Saturday, had a really good week . | |

Absolutely love the place.
Been there for a hash trip with the lads. Been there for a cultural trip with a girlfriend. Loved both. Staggering beauty, architecture, museums and craic.
