I’m sat on a bench at Shanklin station at this moment waiting for a 1950’s tube train back to Ryde and then the hover mower back to Pompey! It’s pîssing down and the winds are a blowing. I would now normally be in the Caribbean. If there is a 365 day a year xmas shop on this outpost of misery I’m going to seek it out and burn the fûcker down.

All services were suspended. Had to jog along the pier to get the cat to Portsmouth. By the time we got back to Southsea the sun had appeared but still no hovercrafts.
