An interesting thought, having seen what pet piddle does to lawns. But, with the same line of thought, is the squirrel that starred in one of our matches still around? Admittedly, it looks like a bit more than the contents of a squirrel bladder, but if it were the favourite place for a family of them, that might explain the damage.
