You are not allowed to raise your foot to stop the goalkeeper clearing the ball. You're not even allowed to stand or move in front of them.

Free kick every time & has been for a few seasons now.

Including when George Best did it against Gordon Banks in the early 70’s.

After Best did it, they announced it was "ungentlemanly conduct". I think.

For the OP, and anyone else who may be interested, from the LOTG

"A goalkeeper is considered to be in control of the ball with the hand(s) when:
- the ball is between the hands or between the hand and any surface
(e.g. ground, own body) or by touching it with any part of the hands
or arms, except if the ball rebounds from the goalkeeper or the goalkeeper
has made a save
- holding the ball in the outstretched open hand
- bouncing it on the ground or throwing it in the air
A goalkeeper cannot be challenged by an opponent when in control of
the ball with the hand(s)"

I know its a touchy subject on here but I do not care either way about Brentford but after watching some of their early game highlights I think that D will get ripped to shreds as teams figure them out .
Its all about goals in the PL and it looks like they might get done at both ends but its some achievement to be up there
