Good to see him fill out a bit and that his high-cardio, salad-fueled experience at QPR hasn't blunted his aim!

Swindon Manager Michael Flynn signed a new contract this week keeping him there until the end of 2025/26. Re the goalkeeping both keepers were Sunday morning pub league standard at best.

Not a lot he could do with many of those bar the second, not sure what he was doing there to be honest. Didn't have a lot in front of him as most of the time Swindon's defence was parting like Moses at the Red Sea.

On those brief highlights, Aldershot's #9 Tolaj looked a bit useful (scored their 4th and 6th), took his goals brilliantly. They picked him up on a free from Brighton in the summer, nine goals for them so far this season.

Hard to believe that Aldershot - Swindon fixtures were scenes of widespread crowd trouble back in the day!

You should have been at the Shots v Pompey fixtures! Aldershot are my second team and I remember one year going with my brother and Dad and the Pompey fans absolutely trashed Aldershot High Street afterwards. And yes they probably improved it.

Shots fans can be, proper, naughty....even when they were in lower leagues than the National League.

I was told Brentford had a number of difficult away trips there.

haha, yes he did, movement in the box has always been excellent, as is that technique we saw so often to get an early nudge in on his marker,

he scored a couple very similar to us against Everton in the cup (the nudge) and WBA (finding space at far post)

which begs question, did he not score more because he did'nt get this quality of early ball or was it that championship defences just have too much nous to leave an ageing finisher unmarked,

never doubted his ability as a top draw finisher (which made his poor penalty technique a bit of a puzzle) just doubted his integrity as a person, especially when our club was on its uppers.

Got a friend who is a Swindon fan. I always ask him how Charlie is doing, his latest reply was "He pretty much cannot run these days and its painful to watch, will still get goals in the box but looks pretty much finished" (this was after the MK Dons game)
