Doyle has a bad shoulder injury. I think it was the burden of playing for AJ.
AJ I think gets more than Luke Young so is helping bail him out probably. I like AJ but he has definitely lost a lot of pace and as that was his key asset I doubt he will be quick enough to trigger a new contract.
If we do shift on Cesar, AJ, Bobby, Young, SWP Mbia, Diakite and Adel this summer that will save the club ITRO £2.5m a month, £30m a year in 'wages' through moving those 8 players.
£30m+ a year!!!! and none of them play for us with any regularity. Or at all.
That money could be far better used on finding 7 or 8 40+ year old players who can't get a game elsewhere. |  |
