I think he is a very clever and honest player. Initially he came in as a specialist wing back and looked very shakey when we went to a back four. I think it is credit to him that he has improved the defensive side of his game and looks more like a right back now. I like Isla and think he's been ok overall for us. But what was the price agreed if we want to keep him at the end of the season? £6-8M wasn't it?? (I can't remember at this point)
Same as with Eddie Vargas, both decent players but the price is way over what we should be paying for players in those positions (even if we stay up). |  |
