Did the absence of a crowd help us to beat Brentford? 11:49 - Feb 18 with 1678 views | kernowhoop | Discuss. I think that the crowd would have added some edge to the home team and could have resulted in a dismissal - we managed to collect five yellow cards, even without the 'atmosphere'.
Did the absence of a crowd help us to beat Brentford? on 11:53 - Feb 18 with 1657 views | Juzzie | Difficult to say. I think there have been a lot of strange results in the Championship and the PL with the absence of crowds. Also, kick-off times have varied a lot so there's nothing to say the game would have panned out the same way if there had been a crowd and a 7.45pm kick-off.
Did the absence of a crowd help us to beat Brentford? on 14:03 - Feb 18 with 1533 views | johann28 | Interesting question, probably been raised before, so apologies. Do some teams / players play better / worse? Do away teams have more of a chance? Does it just even out in the end?

Did the absence of a crowd help us to beat Brentford? on 14:11 - Feb 18 with 1513 views | Myke | I think one factor with the absence of crowds is that the players are now playing to the benches -like Austin last night. In the beginning they didn't really know how to react to scoring They were often cupping an ear if they were the away team, which was kinda daft when there was nobody there. Then as the pandemic eased in September, they just started hugging each other again. Now it is beginning to look like it has evolved into needing to provoke some kind of a reaction from the oppo - interesting to see where it will end up.

Did the absence of a crowd help us to beat Brentford? on 16:24 - Feb 18 with 1342 views | BlackAndGoldRanger | I don't think it made a huge difference last night but I think no crowd at home has seriously hindered our players this season. A few have mention it on various podcasts. I think the difference last night was half time. Warbs clearly had a go because the 1st half wasn't acceptable. Full credit to him, I thought he was done earlier in the season but the January additions have been excellent.

Racing Post print the H/A/D stats by division every Saturday. Some divs have more away wins this season, some about the same. They also said a while ago that the pattern was repeated in the top divs in Europe as well. So in total I think there ARE more away wins but its not universal.
Did the absence of a crowd help us to beat Brentford? on 22:06 - Feb 18 with 1213 views | ManinBlack | I would have thought it was the fact it was not the main live game. It seems everytime it is the featured live game we don't turn up. I am sure the two previous victories of 3-0 and 3-2 were not live like last night. I don't consider the red button games as the main event. We need to ban Sky from choosing this fixture. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Did the absence of a crowd help us to beat Brentford? on 22:28 - Feb 18 with 1186 views | SydneyRs | I feel like there were a lot of weird results to start with but that its got back to something like normal as teams have got used to it. Probably the biggest difference is home crowds not being able to influence officials or intimidate visiting teams, so away games not as big a challenge as usual.
