NFTs are hypey bullshit!
Unless you have some already, you have to buy crypto currency to get them (propping the pyramid scheme from the bottom), you have to burn a lot of coal to buy them (for the transaction to be logged), and what do you get in return?
You get an entry on a register (which may be impermanent) with a link to a digital file, a JPEG or something. That link isn't even to something permanent that can't be broken.
In the end you might as well right click and 'save as' some file you find on the internet, and pay a random punter to give you a certificate of ownership and authenticity. [Post edited 25 Jun 2021 13:00]

Not surprised that we've got involved with this kind of thing but disappointed nevertheless.
Maybe I'm a borderline middle aged git out of touch with the youngsters but it seems to be one big case of the Emperor's New Clothes which people could get stung by.
