| Swiss Ramble - Deep Dive on Accounts on 10:48 - Feb 14 with 1972 views | nix | Thanks for posting this. It shows how well we're doing this season given our wages to league position compared to other clubs in the Championship. It will have gone up a bit with Charlie and Stefan etc but still a lot lower than many others. Shocking to see the losses of other clubs who've had operating losses at least double ours: Fulham, Derby, WBA, Brentford, Stoke, Bristol City and Reading all come into that category, although some of them (certainly Brentford) presumably would have made a lot of player sales to cover that. | | | |
| Swiss Ramble - Deep Dive on Accounts on 10:48 - Feb 14 with 1971 views | LazyFan | Wages are creeping up again. I suspect we shall be letting some people go in the summer. For example: Ball, Shodpio, Owens, Barnes etc | |

Well three of those are nowhere near the starting XI, so no real loss. Given the sense that has returned to the running of the club, it does beg a question as to what was the thinking with Niko H? Not sure who is out of contract come 1 July, but no doubt we'll have another pre-season of necessary transfer market activity, combined with that caused by our jewels being prized away -hopefully for top-shekels - from our clutching paws.

Wallace, Barbet, Ball, Odubajo and Adomah all out of contract in the summer. If we don't go up would expect Chair to either get a new contract or be sold. WIllock also likely to go if we don't go up but that doesn't have to be a bad thing

Ego and I'm sure they use them to surrender losses made against tax liabilities in other, more profitable businesses they own, so its all part of an efficient group tax planning strategy.

I am totally guessing but ... Ball I suspect won't be renewed but should do okay and get a Champ contract elsewhere. As he's cheap, experienced and is a balanced pro. Wallace may be let go as whiles he's quality, he's injured way too much. And has zero resale value. They will offer contracts to Odubajo (2+1), Adomah(1+1) and Barbet (3+1). But will Barbet sign? that is the question. I bet Barbet is not on the monies that Chaz, Adomah and JoJo are on. Yet he's the most ever-present pro and extremely experienced. Also contributed with some goals this season as well. Really he has a strong case for asking for the monies that those others are on. Could be a crunch moment for the club.
